Back In Another Crossfire
Put a deposit down on a 05 SRT for 13k with 32k miles with original owner. Got a great deal! Just waiting for Itsky(Evan) to go take a look at it in the morning and if all goes well I'll be flying out Wed to pick it up.
It doesn't have a factory warranty, but how much am I looking at for an extended warranty and is their anyone on the site I can go through? I'll do a search on it.

There was someone in the forum that works for a dealer and has given a good price to others.
It really doesn't matter what dealer you by the policy from, so find your best price. It only matters what dealer you take your car into for the service, because some Chrysler dealers "suck" when it comes to Crossfire service. It is best you "interview" some dealers and find out if they have any Certified crossfire mechanics or technicians on staff. The doesn't guarantee anything but will give you a good start. Ask some of us that may be near you if they have any recommendation on a dealer Good Luck with your new ride if all goes well....

As someone once said, "How much lower is the value going to drop"!
I got a great deal on the car! Its the owner of the Chrysler dealerships own personal car. I was looking at the car fax and the guy has driven it only 5K miles in the last year. He had it listed at 16K and I told him I could do 13K, so he accepted. I think he was having a hard time selling it and just wants to get rid of it.
So, hopefully Evan comes back with a positive report. I'll keep everyone posted. The pics of the car looks like the car is immaculate. We'll see.

Sounds like a great deal. Got mine about 3 months back for $13000. It's an 04 Coupe, orignial owner, garage kept, no rain or snow, and only had 5600 miles on it. Purchase price was in the middle of TMV, Bluebook and NADA pricing -- so given the 1 owner / clean history and VERY clean car and really low mileage -- I felt great about the deal. I might have skipped it if I found a really clean one with 32K for $9700 -- but since it was like brand new, I felt I'd get away without repairs and normal maintenance item costs (brakes, tires, etc.) for a year or two and given the replacement and repair costs for such items, I'd likely do just as well (maybe better) with the one I bought.
BTW - I've actually seen prices rising for the Crossfires recently, at least on my comparative searches sine July August. However, as the months pass, all the cars are looking older (by model year and technology comparison) so I expect them to continue to trend downward anyway.
There are simply too many of them that have been abused. In my search, I came across examples of crossfires I was appalled by. between the scratches, door dings, oil changes not done or not used the correct oil, FSS off by 40,000+ miles, CHEAP tires, etc. I think the good examples are getting a little more money, and I do believe this trend will stay the same, with the pristine examples being worth more.
I got more money for my totalled one than other examples because the adjuster knew the car was perfect and could not argue the fact.

Consider this, out of the 70 thousand or so Crossfires sold there have been just over 22,000 "enthusiasts" that have signed up here with only 1678 of them considered "active members". That's about 2% that frequent this forum. I'm not saying the rest don't keep their cars nice and aren't enthusiasts but I think it does tell a story of the typical Crossfire owner. We here on this Forum are not typical, we are fanatics when you come right down to it. Boiler I too have seen Crossfires that just make me cringe but I think there is way more of those type of owners than us, we are an exception to the rule. Even though there are far more PT Crusiers out there I think the same thing happened with that car. Started out as something very different, it was a cool car, you could customize it, there was a large group of people over at PT Enthusiats, even Chrysler seemed excited about the car then everybody started buying them and abusing them. It was also a problem that Chrysler never listened to what the PT crowd wanted, a six cyl. and a panel. I think that really helped kill it. The HHR picked up where the PT left off. Not sure what all this means but I still think the Crossfire is one of the most beautiful cars on the street. If you have one, keep it nice, don't abuse it.

Softball,
The car is very clean with a few minor scratches here and there. The supercharger appears to be working wonderfully as I had no problem stomping on the gas several times in a 10 mile test drive. It will need to new rear tires. The wheels look fine as well. Heated seats both worked. Check your email for photos and call me later on.
