Is it the ABS Module the ABS Pump or the CAB Module? You can get the ABS pump with the CAB on ebay for between $100 - $200 used. I bought one, had it shipped to the UK and it works just fine. Make sure you buy from someone who offers a warranty.

Regards

Do a google search on rebuilt ABS units. There is a company out west that rebuilds for Audis for about $250. Unfortunately I cannot remember their name. I would assume they handle most German cars and we have a Mercedes ABS.

ModuleMaster below is the company name I could not remember. Good job, Bladecutter.

Here is the best company on the net to rebuild your current unit:

ModuleMaster rebuilds ABS modules for as low as $100, 2 day average turn-around, 5 Year Guarantee

Give them a call, and see if they can help you (I bet they will).

BC.

That is the problem with stealerships. It is not their fault though.... the parts on this car are marked way up because of Chrylser. Most people here will tell you it is cheaper to just buy straight from Mercedes. Not sure if you can do it with this part. But why pay 1,400 when you can spend a couple hundred!

I was told my ABS module needed to be replaced, BUT my ABS light did not come one. My CHECK ENGINE light came on. This does not make sense.

What is the code that was set?
You must know what this is to confirm or deny the problem.

Rebuilt or used ABS units are cheaper than new ones.

The CEL could be on for the ABS as the Body module has some of the communications with the sensors as well but almost always the ABS/ESP light is on for a fault with that system specifically.

The dealer said when he started my car this morning the check engine light was out, but the following code was in storage:
1352: 1210 and 1212. From this he said it was my ABS module, even though it was Check Engine Light?????

See this thread for details on a 1210 code fault.
1352 seems to be an ignition key fault.
Run the codes on Google and see what you get.
