You may also want to check out the Topsider, here's an Amazon link with quite a few favorable reviews:

This unit was mentioned in some old threads as a winner, although I have yet to purchase or use, so I can't give a personal testimonial.
I like the fact that it's metal and looks quite sturdy, and comes with a two (2) gallon capacity...

Can I just ask as a dumb kid, who only just found out these existed 2 weeks agoe, why we would need it?
i mean i just did the oil on mine and our cars have a drain plug...
BUT if it will help make changing the oil easier, no ramps, no jack, no splash plate... then sure... but to me I'm not sure yet... maybe I'm stuck in my old ways idk...

I don't know guys, I'm 60 years old. Took me 20 maybe 25 minutes to get under the car, open the drain plug and drain the oil. The whole thing maybe took an hour including the time it took me to texture/fleck paint my oil filter cap. I really wonder if these pumps get the gunk out of the bottom of the pan?
Sorry I'll continue to do it the old fashioned way, it ain't that hard.

I got a VERY nice pump from Harbor Freight a couple of years ago that hooks up to my compressor.. it holds 6 gallons so I can do all my vehicles at once if I want.... but I only use it on the Crossfire and my lathe sump... I did a thread on it with pics back then... pics in my gallery too.... it seems to get pretty much all of the oil out (I have to put 8+ qts back in) and does make it quick and easy.......
Here's why I love the Mityvac 7201....
I remove the dipstick, insert the tube, give her several pumps, then walk back into the house for some coffee and read the paper, while still in my bathrobe and slippers. 30 - 45 minutes later and shes done, all 8.5 qts. If I'm feeling lazy still I just insert the tube into my storage container (I use the plastic jugs from Tidycat), flip the switch, and pump it into the container. (yes, she sucks AND blows)!
No fuss - No muss.

I went the toploader route after my mercedes mechanic pal told me that's the way they service cars at the Dealership. That, plus all the threads I've seen on this and the M/B forums about people stripping the plug threads seems to make my choice for me. I'd much rather not take the chance if there's a much simpler way of doing it.
You gotta love all the simplicity in maintaining our Crosses.
Replaced the hood strut in 2 minutes.
Snapped on the C240 cover in 1 minute.
And the oil filter is RIGHT THERE on top.
Sweetest ride ever!!!
