I know what you mean! Wheels are very hard to find for this car--both size and style are difficult. It's very easy to cheapen the look of the car with many of the wheels on the market--and the sizing is unusual. Good luck in your search!

Yeah, chrome is a natural match on a black car, but not so much on graphite. I think the black chrome would look sweet.

Rude but understandable. (And oddly flattering, too.)
How 'bout a Molly calendar this year, John? I mean,
rims are gonna be expensive and since it's her car, too - should
she not do her part?

LOL well since she is possibly the best girlfriend ever, and she likes the Lexanis so well, she has offered to help pay for them (since they are equivalent to SEVERAL house payments with rubber)

My lawyer has sent the letter of intent to sue to my insurance agent over the black car, just waiting to see what he is going to do....

I'm sure you could steal some secrets in person! I am really looking forward to seeing this car in person. It's funny reading back over this post that Evan, Mark & I all bought Graphite coupes since this thread started. Of course Evan already sold his and got an Aero Blue SRT. Jason and Kyle have purchased 2 SRT's since this thread started. Nick sold his Graphite SRT in that time too. Lots of changes.....

Sorry I did not come back to the thread and finish the story...

I ended up winning the case with the insurance agent and got a small portion of the money I had invested into the car, back, which was all I was after. We all know you can never expect to get your money back from modifying a car, it is all for personal taste and satisfaction. I ended up with a car I am happier with.

I ended up NOT getting the lexani's as I wanted to stay with a little more OEM+ look and have it be something the factory should have offered. I have added several new modifications this winter, but here are some of the older pictures so you can see which way I went with the car. First, all lenses are painted there is no vinyl on this car, AMG replica wheels (18/20 stagger), SLK32 (SRT6) brake upgrade, lowered, camber arms, CF WS surround, body color accents, matte black painted grille inset area and license plate area, custom grille, HID fog and lows, Led conversion, CF headliner and pillars, custom diffusors on Mopar offering, DCAI, 74mm TB, EC Tune, sprint booster, etc, etc...

(PS the front wings are no longer chrome )

And about the shine, it takes a good machine polishing and one of my favorite products, Meguire's last touch detail spray between polishings

Thanks to everyone who has helped out along the way - more to come.

Wow that looks tight! good job! When you put in a LED conversion, what does that include? license plates and interior? and when you said matt black license plate area, what does that mean? What did you do to the mopar diffusers? How much did you lower it?

Sorry I am still relatively new, I have a lot of questions

Thanks

I did LEDs on the eyelids, all 4 corner markers, license plate bulbs, map lights, and rear hatch light. I did not bother with the in-line resistors, I just live with a light out indicator when the exterior bulbs are turned on.

As far as the matte black, it it hard to see in photos, nor do they do it justice. It is very subtle against the grey, but I sprayed the recessed portion of the bumper where the plate resides in matte (non-reflective) black as well as the recessed area where the front grille is located.

I added a piece of metal accent across the bottom of the Mopar diffusers in the rear, and painted them matte black as well. I am lowered right around 2" all the way around with cut SRT springs (MANY threads on this if you search) and it is a rough ride, but worth it for the upgrade in handling.

I will try to get some pictures of these items put up in the next few days to show some details, but it has been raining pretty steadily...

Still in the process of refitting a few things, like the grille, but here is the first taste of the new hood. Damn, I really need to get my winter wheels off of her

Debating on exactly how I want to paint it...
