daily driver here in New Jersey, as well. I drove it all last winter, with blizzaks, and no weight in the trunk and never had a problem - even when we had a major snowstorm, I was able to get home safely. Drives great - just turn off the traction control!
Chicago winters good enough for ya?
Been driving mine year round for 3 years now. Just under 36,000 miles of all weather. Does pretty well in the snow with a decent set of A/S's in my opinion.

I'm sick of buying cars that I can't drive.... I've had 3 corvettes and many other cars. I'll take my crossfire over any of them! I drive mine in Wisconsin winters and it's great. I also have a ranger pickup that sits most of the time, unless the weather is super stupid! Otherwise I"M DRIVIN IT!
My '05 is also a daily driver. I have a set of Vredestein winter tires and it handles very well. However, I just don't like driving in the snow. (Maybe it's just old age creeping up on me.) Since I'm now retired I don't drive much in the snow. My wife also bought me a floor jack and a torque wrench for xmas so I can change the wheels myself twice a year instead of taking it to the tire shop. I'm in the NE corner of IL. Expect to move below the bridge in MI late next year.
My XFire is my "Crappy weather" car! If the weather is nice, I'm on my bike.
Does fine in the snow. Looks like hell most of the time. I try to wash it whenever it's warm enough that it won't freeze sitting in the garage overnight. Winter is starting early this year. We already have a few inches of snow on the ground, more snow coming Saturday and temps next week are supposed to be single digit highs all week.

I am shocked!
Pennsylvania winters might not be the worst, but I'll be driving mine all year. When the weather is real nice, I put the top down on my Toyota MR2 Spyder and go for a spin.
I've driven my in the snow also, it does very well. I drive my 97 truck if I know it will be bad out mainly because of the crazy (act like they have never seen snow before) drivers here, and the truck has a remote starter for the real cold days.
We're supposed to get a foot of snow up here in MN so I might wait til they plow it before I go out but mine gets used year 'round too! I feel bad for my baby right now. She's absolutely filthy.
I am so glad the snow is melting today. I have a new garage door coming next week, and the xf's have to come out of the garage....thinking about renting a tent just in case of snow, while they are installing the new door....what do you think, tent or no......lol
