Default spoiler squeaks

just took my car in because the spoiler was squeaking every time it went up. after they had my car for about 6 hours, they called me and told me my car was ready. they told me they lubricated the joints on the spoiler lifts. well on my way back to work i hit 57, squeak, squeak.
has anyone else had this problem so i can tell my dealership how to fix it like i usaully do thanks to this web site.

kraz17,

The spoiler does make an electrical motor sound when going up/down. Haven't had your problem, knock on wood. Goodluck.

Kraz17, I've had the squeak for at least a month...although it seems less squeaky now than it was at first. I'm overdue for the 15K mile service and was gonna ask them to fix it then. Will let you know if they do something different and if it works. I wonder if WD40 is all it needs?

Okay, this happened to me. Posted about it in the Tech' forum. But, the quick run down is this:

Started Squeeking.
(the Wife) took it in. They tried just lube'ing it up from the outside.
No Joy.
(I get back to Town) took it in. They opened the whole assembly up, cleand it out and re-lube'd it up.
... Joy! ...

Now its quieter than it ever was before (I don't hear it unless I'm stopped and playing with the button with the radio's off).
