Default Traffic light = 1 crossfire coupe = 0

how about a quick painful recap.... i was on my way to school and stopped at a red light next to a silver g35 coupe, while looking in my rear view mirror i see a hyundai genesis approaching like a bat out of hell which proceeded to smash into the back of the infiniti at close to 60 mph... the two cars seem to make a wrecking ball and take out the traffic light pole after a going partially up the center median.. traffic light would have gone through my winshield but me being in my peepy xfire i stepped on the gas and instead of hitting my hood and windshield and almost imminant injuries to myself, the pole hit the side of my car and the light swungs and blew out my windows (driver side, driver quarter window and cracked my back hatch window, drivers side door wouldnt open so i had to kick my way open.. man what a bummer

genesis= totalled
g35= totalled

crossfire =$5100 in damage ( 3 windows, rear quarter panel, driver side door, interior trim piece, taillight)

insurance said since no cars hit me it was collateral damage and i only had to pay a $100 deductible!

this happened november 29th, just got it back yesturday

car looks like it was never touched, AWSOME job Route 88 autobody in brick nj

pics will be up in a few hours, which will include scene of the accident, all 3 cars damage, photos in the shop, and after!

Glad you're ok and car was repairable. I always preach to my kids to leave ~1/2 a car length between them and the car in front in case they need an escape route. Saved my bacon last year when a semi in front of me rolled backwards about 10' before he heard my horn.

Glad you were not hurt and that your Crossfire has been repaired to your satisfaction. The pics should be interesting. Anyone hurt in the other cars?

My second favorite quote: "Sitting still is a trap - be careful, or you'll be trapped."

Hey

Contact yourinsurance.
Your car lost value. if one day you sell it... now you have a red flag on your carfax.

If you engage a procedure with your insurance, you can obtain compensation for lost value.

Do it

to proof to your insurance. good have to a dealer for a trade in. then go to cars.com and estimate the value of your car, similar miles , vintage etc....

do it! if you need help I can answer to a few questions about this subject

No reason for you to get the financial hit. NOPE

Max

To the OP..... happy to hear your OK, and your XFire has been fixed to your satisfaction. Hopefully the others involved make out OK.

If you follow-up on the suggestion in the above quote..... post up the results.
