Road and Track Comparison to TT
I just read the piece comparing the TT to the CFX. There is something fishy about the author. I sat in the TT and could hardly get into the door. The windshield is very small in length and width and I felt as if I were in a sardine can. I can easily fit into my CFX. I really see no comparison. Am I missing something? The rest of the article is inept as well.
I have read the article but not in the magazine... I read it online. I would be curious to know if Audi has any adds in the magazine and if Chrysler does. My bet is there are no Chrysler adds but more than one for Audi..... If anyone has the magazine please take a look and let us know. That could be a reason for some literary bias.
I have it, thought it was a pretty good article. The guy that tested the Audi was a pretty big guy, so of course he'd complain about size.
There are no advertisements from either car company in the entire magazine.
That review is what made me want a Crossfire, btw.
I should mention that the latest R&T issue tests the same Audi TT agains the BMW Z4 3.0i. It loses miserably on all points, but they say that if you want a flashier car then you should get the TT because the BMW Z4 3.0i, voted Best New Car Design by something or other, is plain.
But the same issue also has a 70+/- page booklet included with the issue raving about the new Chrysler 300. Not a bad word in the entire thing.

No, it's one of Road & Track's Special Series issues. It came with the latest issue. It's written by the same reviewers that work on the cars in the magazine. 64 pages to be precise, and the car was raved about.
"World class transmission," "big in size, prestige, and value," "affordable luxury," "[Chrysler] is ahead of the curve," "offers comfort, safety, and value," "timeless design," "muscular stance," "seamless operation," "seamless, effortless shifts," "driving sensation,"
Those are the only types of comments I can find on glancing through the 64 page booklet mega-review.

I just saw a review on the newsstand yesterday (Autoweek or some such). It opened up saying the 300C is the first product to combine Daimler engineer with Chrysler styling. Wha? Hello? Have you forgotten the Crossfire you nuckleheads...???

Chrysler had something to do with it as they sent me a copy sans magazine. I had subscribed to R&T but cancelled when they went to the wide format and switched to C&D. Title is "Road & Track special series guide to the Chrysler 300". Your right - not a bad word about the 300 as Chrysler probably paid for it. Common in the industry. BTW I have seen the 300C Hemi and it is fantastic.
