Default Interesting observation...

Maybe this was already covered here.... but I was looking down in my engine bay and noticed a puddle of water caught on the splash guard. It looked like a pond. So I drilled a small hole in the center and the water came pouring out on the garage floor. I hate drilling holes but I figured a small hole wouldn't hurt in this case.

I think the puddle formed because I was washing the front bumper about 20 minutes prior then I pulled the car right into the garage. The only other way I figure the water got there is with the AC drain.... but I really think it was from washing the car.

Has anyone here had that happen to them? Anyone notice a pond of water in their engine bay?

Do NOT drill any holes in your splash shield, read the students ref manual pg 151 first!!!!

I just read it. Didn't see anything there that would prevent one from doing this.

Drilling the hole won't hurt a thing. Others have done it too.

Wait, we do read the instructions ... it's the last thing we do before we give up and call in an expert.
