Odd discovery while hand washing!

It is nice to get beat up for offering an honest solution to the problem and trying to help. The auto lock feature has thrown me for a loop and I am willing to bet this is his problem (despite what he thinks). Maybe the people around here picking on me are so old you are losing your minds.... maybe you forgot you pushed the lock button and think the car is acting up.
I don't know.... but I will go back into my corner and shut up. Let the experts around here figure it out on your own. My 6 years of ownership mean nothing here! Open up my mouth and try to help is obviously a mistake.

I keep too much CRAP in my pocket... I HAVE had my car lock and/or unlock while I was standing there talking about ... my car. I saw the lights flash and thought, "What is going on??"
It took about 15 seconds when I saw the lights again... I realized my FOB buttons were being pushed by the pager that was in my pocket with the FOB.
Pizzaguy
(I guess I wear my pants too tight.)

I learned two more things about my xfire today. The radio thingy and the 30 sec re-lock thingy. Thanx for the info guys. I love this site.
I do not read manuals nor ask for directions.

Personally, I like the fact that Dave is keeping a scorecard. It saves me having to purchase a program and I can just sit back and enjoy the game. Having met Dave and beginning to appreciate his humour, I'd say we were all spared by the absence of a Mae West postulate such as, "Hey, mister, is that a key fob in your pocket ....?"
Not only has this thread and each of its participants provided the anticipated best answers to the initial "discovery" - it has done so with humour and efficiency.
Dave, I'm absoultely certain, can tell us not only Crossfireforum's MTR (Mean Time to Resolution) for any given thread question - I'd bet he has kept book on how this forum compares to other automotive forums! The good natured banter in this forum (or the potential for it to exist) distinguishes it from the other forums that I've been a part of - that and the fact that there are so many friends everywhere, there are no corners to which one could make a retreat and hide their good ideas away from the group. You would be found and dragged out into the open along with all of your ingenious, savvy ideas and unrelenting willingness to help with our collective ownership issues!
All that said, and I don't mean to hijack the thread here, but based on comments earlier I am now left pondering whether or not my new NAV radio with Rudy's improvements will have the "keyless" power on capability of my current stock radio. I've really enjoyed this feature and hope that it remains in the NAV version. Does anyone know the answer to that (before I bother Rudy)?

Another possibility. Are you the first owner. I am familiar with a practice common with shaved door handles where a remot unlock button is installed outside the car. This is best behind a piece of flexible plastic--no visual and known only to the owner. Another common place is behind a license plate. A prior owner may have had one installed above the exhaust and behind the flex plastic in that area.

Can you duplicate the unlocking/locking by pushing the same area?

Will try again soon when I get her out to wash her. Hand washing is how I discovered this "event" to begin with. Hope to get out tomorrow and get 'er done. BTW: I am always entertained by the respondees on this site. They are ALL great folks. A joy to associate with them as well as learn from them.
