New Crossfire owner from Benton, Arkansas. 2008 Red Limited. You know the standard. I love it. Bought it with 18K miles on it.

Took in for the first oil change. Before I found out how from this forum. Dealer noticed a leak from the valve covers. They were replaced under warranty. Next week, T.C.M. went out. Car in limp mode and dealer ordered new board. Kept it a week. Now the dealer called and said the new T.C.M. is fried and need to get another on overnighted.

Should be fixed tomorrow. They said the boards are rebuilt and was bad from the word go because it cant be programed. I guess that makes sense. I am just glad I got the extended warranty. Cant wait to get it back.

True enuff. I almost made it a week before I got my first Crossfire ticket............................And I needed a wash and wax job!

The car is a beauty. Sorry you're having some troubles, but once sorted out, it will be worth it. I bought mine in JAN, with 74K miles. By now, the little things must be found and corrected. I've had a ball with it. And the help from this group has been great.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I totally think it will be worth the little bumps we have had so far. The bit I drove it I totally fell in love with it. Just ready to have it back. Hopefully all will get fixed today.

 

Well got the car back and it seems to be doing well. Acted like it wanted to slip into limp mode once, but I restarted it and no more issues. Tech said just the learning curve on the TCM. We shall see.

Welcome to the board! That red really pops! If the other valve cover gasket hasn't been replaced yet, kepe an eye on it. I got one replaced and about 4 months later, I needed the other one replaced.

I have mixed feelings about the car overall, but this is a great place to learn some things about the vehicle and get help when you're stuck!

 

My car is still sick. Back at the dealership. A week till transmission man will be in. Keeps going into limp mode after about 10 min of driving. Now check engine light on and stuck in limp mode. I am clueless. Hope they figure out.
