What the heck is a Crossfire ...
So I was putting gas in my Audi yesterday when this car pulls up that I've never really seen before. Out pops a gorgeous woman in black knee high boots, painted on jeans, black leather jacket and shoulder length brunette hair. She does her business and roars out of the gas station.
I said to myself, "I've got to get me one of those ... both."
Of course the car was a Crossfire and well, I'm now in the hunt for one. Brunettes I'm figuring will come after the Crossfire.
At the beginning of the year I had been looking at SLKs but was having a tough time of it. People flat out lie about the condition of their car. I'd ask if it had been in a crash, no, no, no, never. Quick check underneath and the wheel wells have telltale wrinkles. Why lie about your car if someone can figure out with one look or run of the hand?
So I had given up on SLKs. Well seeing a Crossfire has gotten me all hot and bothered for a new car.
I have to say this is a great forum, tons of good reading with just the right amount of crazies and well informed enthusiasts, that really appeals to me. So my search begins and please forgive me in advance if I ask ignorant questions on occasion, I'm only human after all.

What was my wife doing in CA? Oh wait, my wife's a blonde.
Get a big bucket of popcorn and enjoy reading here. Good luck with your hunt. There are lots of good deals out there.

If you'd been looking for a nice SLK, then you won't find a better looking SLK than a Crossfire. I'm assuming that by now you've figured out that a Crossfire really is nothing more than a Mercedes SLK in a fancy party dress. Every time I see an SLK from the generation that the Crossfire is based on I can't help but think how dowdy they look in comparison to our cars.
The brunette you described and the Crossfire will be 'high maintenance' assets!!!
But like most items that fall into this category, the enjoyment will be intoxicating!!!! Perma-Grin!!!!

MikeR found a fantastic deal on a beautiful SRT in Oregon.
Today could be the day. If I had the money I would love to pick this one up and store it away...
Welcome,
Mike

I added my Audi A6 2.7T (used) and my new roadster to the stable within a month of each other. Could not imagine a more fun summer car than the XF or a better winter warrior than the OOOO. Problem is, it's like eating potato chips and I added a A4 3.0 for my daughter, a SRT6 for me, and the 2007 coupe for my son. As for the hot brunette, I can spend an afternoon in my garage with only one car, a cigar, and a beer/s while stroking...I mean waxing...and the other cars don't get jealous.
