The reason to replace all 4 senors is simple. They fail about the same time. Do the job once and that way you will not drive for a week, month, etc. and have to do it again. Sometimes it is easier to replace parts when you already have things a part. I guess you paid for an hours worth of labor even if the job took 15 minutes. I surmise you could do all 4 for that hour of labor and the only additional cost is the parts.. You will be back if you only change one.

 

I dont like them, I dont want them, I dont need them, So I did the simple delete of them. Running different pressures / tires / slicks eliiminated the benefits of them so THe delete worked for me and I have never looked back. They are excessive weight and cost that I feel are of no benefit, my two scents. Woody

BTW your not removing demounting remounting and balancing and installing 4 wheels in an hour.........

 

Since I check My Air water and Oil every time I fuel up the Malfunctioning TPMS was of no conseqence to Me I Just Disabled It.

After all I survived the first 30 Years of My motoring life with out this particular Idiot Light.

 

While I agree with you completely and will do that same thing... the shop/dealer should be telling him which sensor is bad....not that they all need to be replaced...(unless they all go bad at the same time... )

 

I will search for other tire shops in my area. No Americas/discount tire shops in MS. Dealer want over $500 for the 4 sensors.

 

It would almost be cheaper to buy new tires !!!!
