Default Beep! Beep!

Just curious and maybe this is a dumb question, but I am going to ask anyway!!! I notice in the morning after I have warmed my car up and pull out of parking lot that there is a beeping noise that occurs a few seconds after take off(LOL, my friends do call the inside a cockpit). It's on beep and its very faint. I have been meaning to look down at the speedometer to see if it takes place at a certain speed, but I keep forgetting. I call myself trying to scan the manual to see if I can find an explanation, but I couldn't. Is it just my car or does anyone elses car do this?

Seat belt is only thing I can think of. Did you sit something in the passenger seat and not strap in?

When the stealership over-filled my oil, the XF alerted me with a single, fairly faint beep that would repeat periodically. Not sure, but you might have some similar alert going on with yours.

Steering wheel locked in position? Parking brake all the way off? Trying to think of all the other things that might beep on takeoff, beyond seatbelts. Hmmm.

I agree on the 'oil over filled alert.' Mine does that from time to time. You will see a oil can and a HI next to it on the odometer cluster. If its like mine, its just barely overfilled and it will only beep once and its quieter than the seat belt warning.

Good Luck

That little beep will happen when you exceed your service countdown too... just one little beep.. it took me a while when I first got my car to realize it was trying to tell me something.... my FSS hadnt been reset for over a year.. once reset, it stopped the beeping.
