Love the wheels, mdaniels. Are the tires the new V12's you've been talking about? How's the ride?

More pics!

Nice looking wheels! This must be wheel week. I got the new wheels for the Cobra on Monday. I got the backspacing perfect but the front wheels rubbed the brake calipers ever so slightly so I used a plain 1/8 inch spacer from Billet Depot. Had them the next day and am in the process of getting everything mounted and balanced, should be done by tomorrow afternoon.
Back to your wheels - the spacers will definitely put it over the edge.

Thank you gentlemen. I agree with you, and Boiler for suggesting it, and at some near point I'll be adding probably the 12 mm space as he suggests to get that rear moved out flush with the well as it is in the front. Pat your Cobra is awesome, and I can't wait to see it finished with the new wheels and all that you've done.

Thanks kane. I'll take more pics when the weather gets a bit nicer and things fill out a bit more so I can get the right angles for show and tell, but I also need to clean her well before that. There'll be pics of the other stuff too. Did you guys notice her mascara on the tail lights. That one I like as it highlighted the detail of the lights, IMO.

The tires I have are the Conti DWS's, $950 out the door after rebate thru the end of this month at Quicklane. The ride is good, much much quieter, noticeably so. No squirrely-ness in the track from the fronts at all. at all. went thru heavy water on Monday at 75 mph and just stayed straight. No a$$-end slide at all, so I'm happy. Thye ride is better too. Not as harsh.

I took your advice kane on the 275's vs the 285's and am am happy that I did so. The Conti's are bigger than the others I think. I also note a VERY slight rub at tight turns so I'm just slowing that lock to lock and it's fine. other 235's would probably be fine-the conti's at least DWS are maybe just slightly bigger than other 235's.

That's really odd to me, because even if I'd tapped on the TPS wire in the harness behind the seat, which I don't think is there then the tps doesn't go on with the door open and off with it closed as do the lights. weird huh???
My TPMS did not come on for something like 2 days and 30 miles after I put on the new wheels. I knew good and well they never had sensors in them and never will and found it odd it took that long to realize. Usually when I switch to the winter wheels (no TPMS either) it goes right on....

Why yes I did, and it looks good, reminds me slightly of another car with new wheels (only I just did the tops of mine in flat black)

Oh yeah, Boiler that is really a subtle design cue, nicely done. on the white it just shows up more as a set off. Weird that the TPM system has this lag. Gives you great confidence hey? Massive sudden blow out at 130 MPH, and two days later the light goes on. LOL! reminds me of the old Yogi Bear crashing helicopter and when it hits the ground he jumps out on his head and pulss the parachute cord. Poof.
