My Crossfire is a blessing 'cause since I had it after a failed in vitro fertilization to have a baby...And guess what, my wife is now pregnant - the NATURAL way
I was thinking of keeping my Crossfire for my child since this is only a recreational car...and maybe it'll be a great classic by then after 16 years?

I think the amount of Crossfires still unsold and the few that are seen, is because the Crossfire obviously appeals to a limited purchasing market.And there are other competitive vehicle in its class. I'm surprised at all the lease talk, though, as it would seem to be, as it is to me, a toy- type purchase and not as one's primary vehicle that, as at least one forum member would say, beat the **** out of turn it in a lease end.

I would always lease ,because the factory takes the loss, not the leasee if the car is not worth thepay off plus unless you dont' drive it you're better off to get anew one after 40000 miles why drive an old car?It ends up costing the same to drive an old one!As a new one!Here in ventura they have 50 cars xs' at 1 dearler! I wish i had waited!The 299.lease is a great value ,Only !0 a day compare that to any car you could have 2 xs'
Good points, however anyway you dice-it or slice-it, leasing is more expensive. The only benefit, realistically, is that you need a very low down-stroke, if any, and the payments are usually lower.
The down-side is -you own nothing, mileage and care of the vehicle is usually an issue, and your STUCK for a specific period of time, ie, 39 months!!!
At least if you purchase, you're in control-not the contract!!!!!!

You've never got alease before,?The dealer and factory know you will be looking,they have the same incentive to keep the custumer.I've always had goodluck with a lease ,If i bought it you lose more.only pay sales tax on the payments not the total!
the market will be only worst when there is more used xs' when the leases come in!The factory knows every angle to keep the customer.Benz is always advertizing their lease value over other cars that are cheaper.Hence the $299. lease!

$2300 down + tax on depreciated amount
Crossfire = $300/month
350Z = $550/month (approx)
RX8=$450/month (approx)
And the crossfire had the highest sticker price!
As for being stuck with the car for 39 months. That is not so. Depending on the lease contract you can get out of any lease by simply paying the difference between what the car is worth and the sum of the residual value plus remaining payments (plus a small "processing" fee of a few hundred dollars). My previous car was on a 39 month lease and I turned it in for the crossfire after 31 months. I even made $1000 from the trade (the car was worth more than the residual plus remaining payments). Granted, if you trade in a car within a few months of aquiring it, you're going to lose alot, whether its leased or purchased.
