Its all personal opinion but I like the Crossfire as it is and think the look is classy and would hate to see that look muted. To each their own I guess........... P.S. I noticed the young cutie also, Bobafettm

Hi Mighty,

I like the look....sorta...kinda. I think it goes with the black...if the rims are black in the center it would be a little toooo black for me.
You could put some Gold ones on there and some JPS decals ;-)
So far everyone I have talked to, and there have been a lot of these questions and answer sessions, when ever I am driving the Xfire, people have commented on how the accents make the car.
For me that was one of the things I liked right of the bat. So I personally wouldn't change a thing on the body of mine.

It looks great.

Which bits from the BMW are "these" that you're going to add, I missed it.

Also, would you please add a picture that was bit larger or closer to the front, I would like to see the grill with some better detail.

Thanks.

I thought the base MODEL cutie is what you're talking about all along.

Mightyjr..... Do you like it? If you do, that's what matters.

Default New base model 2005 Crossfire

The new 2005 base Crossfire only comes in black and has no silver trim to cut cost. Saw one at dealer last weekend. Glad I got a 2004 loaded. 2005's have to pay for all the extras.

Sorry Mighty, I just don't like the all-black effect. It loses the definition of the car for me. Glad you like it though.

By the way, thanks for the forum :!:

Not my cup of Tea, but it still looks pretty smart. I personall think it has lost some character doing that, but if you like it then thats all good !

Mightyjr did that before we knew that the "Lite" (or cheaper version) would have painted trim and that the "Limited" would be recognizable by the silver trim. I don't know if he would have done it if he had known that.

Wonder how much it will cost to reverse

I still think he should add Gold Rims and JPS decals :-)

Default goodbye silver trim

instead of goodbye silver trim how about "HELLOOOO" Gold Trim
a much richer sound and the Las Vagas look!
myself i would love to see my graphite with gold trim. i have got as far as the tire air valve covers up to now, :P but if i carry on dinging the wheels then they will be gold as well

That really looks great! Only reason we didn't
go with black or red, we thought the chrome
looked too retro. Very Nice!!

I knew the cheaper version would look the same way. Mine is still different as the grill is also painted black, unlike the lite version. It definitely looks better, everyone who has seen it in person says they like it a lot better. Plus when I get black or gunmetal wheels it will look sick.

I gotta jump in with a comment about this being exactly what I look for in this forum. (personal opinions, opposing opinions, supportive comments, and friendly banter) Yes!

Although the all black is not for me, I think it definitely makes a statement. That being "I don't need a lot of flash to look good." Good job for having the drive to make YOURS the way YOU want it. And it does look good.

Sick=awesome,cool,badass,ect.....

To each there own.....I definately can understand painting the trim.

BUT....maybe it's a generation gap thing (I'm 33) but black or graphite wheels just look horrible imho. I guess it's because I remember the days when most cars had hubcaps and when those hubcaps fell off the car was left with a disgusting black steel wheel. That's what any car with any dark wheel looks like to me.

But gold trim is even more horrid. Tacky tacky tacky.

Then again I think the X-fire's wheels are the best looking wheels I've ever seen.....so I can't imagine changing them.
