Default help need forum experts

had my 2005 xfire ltd for 3 weeks (new battery)(23,000 miles) and 3x it has died out on me. Twice I was able to restart by hitting the panic button 3 times. Once the panic alarm went off while I was driving.

The latest time it died at a stoplight....finally got it started by jumping it.

I dont know if its a short in the alarm system or my starter ?

Depending on the not starting symptoms one of these is probably your fix.

1. Everything seems to work but car will not crank (turn over) RCM.

2. Everything seems to work, car does crank but no start. CPS

So which describes your car problem?

Pressing the panic button will not aid in starting the car so you can forget that, it is an alarm for signaling danger not to start the car or turn on some magic fix.
Answer Tighed1's question and go from there.
