Default Cleanest Car Award Winner...

Mrs AZ and I just got back from the Left Coast Hook-Up... we had a ball and thanks to everyone for making it a trip that will go down in Crossfire history!!!

I haven't had time to read the posts and go through everyones photo's yet but I have been dying to post this picture... ahhh, I mean present the award for the cleanest car on the trip. Pageoneresults, with his handy bottle of Quick Detailer and Baby Diaper wins, hands down!!!! The boy collects no bugs on his car!!! At every stop, even before the last person was out of their car there he was.......... one picture is worth a thousand words.

Not only does he clean it at every stop, but while driving along PCH on the left coast hookup, at 75mph, Edward (pageoneresults) was seen putting on the cruise control, putting the window down, and climbing out onto the hood to wipe off the dead remains of one bug, with his handy quick detailer and diaper in hand.

Pageoneresults has the right idea... I've always kept my cars very clean... But with the Crossfire I have become totally ****!!! I know it's because this car always grabs tons of attention and dirty isn't an option. To me it's got to look like it's ready for a show at all times. I know whenever I see a nice car and it's dirty or especially if it has dirty (brake dust encrusted) wheels I think that the owner should have the car taken away and he should be driving a junkyard special.

So hang in there, Pageoneresults, you've got it bad (like me) but it's really not a bad thing.... Everyone needs a hobby, and keeping this car clean is mine too.

He has got it down!

I keep a bottle of Zaino Z6 and a couple of towels in that extra hole under the carpet in the trunk...

I've only had it about 20 hours and I can see this black drop top is going to keep me very busy keeping it clean. At least I have a bit less shiny parts. i.e. the roof. No probelm keeping the canvas clean.

Looks like I got the first one in the Tampa Bay area. Dayton Andrews in CLearwater still has a silver with the red interior and Fitzgeralds, also in Clearwater, has a blue one.
St.Pete chrysler traded the black one I have to Dayton Andrews because they had a customer that wanted a 300 Hemi, Andrews called to see if I would take the blk beauty and when I said yes they made the trade. St Pete doesn't even have a roadster yet.
I just lucked out and I have to tell you, I am a driving salesperson for this car. Everyone stops to ask what it is. Hey Chrysler, wheres my bonus check?
Pictures will be uploaded tonight when I get back from the beach. Life is good!!!!!

3 on the lot at a local dealer here in Dallas. They just got a ton of coupes too. However that was before the weekend. I'm sure the roadsters are gone.

Again it appears the dealers are being forced into taking delivery on coupes with their roadsters as the 3 dealers here in my county each received a coupe with the roadster, which by the way in all cases is not the color they were told they were getting. They were also not expecting the coupe that came along for the ride.
I'm shooting a couple of short mpegs on how the top goes down for anyone interested, I can send it your way unless there is a way to upload them somewhere to be viewed by all.
Pictures coming later tonight.
Bill

lol, a topic about ME! I've always been **** with my vehicles. They get washed at least once a week and wiped down almost daily. I keep a California Car Duster in the trunk along with a fresh supply of 100% cotton diapers and a bottle of Maguires. I'll have to look into that "other stuff" you are referring to. I've also been told that "Lizard Spit" is a great product for maintaining finish.
Don't let everyone pull your leg around here. I WAS NOT hanging out the window at 75 cleaning the windshield. I was only doing 70!

As a LCHU survivor...I can tell you it was Mr Meguiar's product that kept that SSB nice and shiny 8-)
And believe me any more shiny Ed would have had to lead or follow with a few miles distance, since as it was I had to put on my welding goggles when following him to preserve my precious eye sight.

Hey Pageone, I've got enough of that "other stuff" to do BOTH our cars and am happy to share!

But I understand that the Zaino process is pretty complicated and you have to read the instructions very carefully...maybe I can convince you to bring your diapers while I supervise (after all, I know how satisfied you feel when you take care of those water spots on my car yourself). 8)
