Grill is easy to take off. There are 4 screws on the top (radiator support) that you remove and that is it.

Yes and other than the screws there are "pop" tabs on the bottom.

I remove mine by taking off the screws, then pulling the grille straight back (towards me, if i'm facing the car).

It pops out, and then when you're ready to put it back it pops in.

Personally I like the mesh grille, and will be purchasing one soon. Although I know a number of people don't like them because of the large border around the outside. Personal preference!

Regards,
Eric

I've had the billet on my '05 for two years now and love it. The horizontal lines look great, and looks well integrated into the original lines of the car. Not too crazy about mesh, though. It tends to look as though it's been 'tacked on' to the XF . Plus, I'm in agreement-- That's one fat border!!!

I actually prefer the OEM grille, but if I had to go aftermarket, I would go with the same grille that Ray has:

That's the same grille I have for the last 2 years and I love it. Smoothes the lookof the entire front end. Bit of a vibration I have at 60 mph but after I put big a$$ K and N's on there it suddenly went away.

I'm with you on this, the mesh grille has a huge border around it and screams 'aftermarket'.
The billet grilles remind me of the steps on an escalator or those cow gates.
I saw a billet grille that had scratched the paintwork up really badly during assembly.

This had better be good, or you'll get flamed.
You can't ruin it now.
I'd guess an egg crate design.

LOL, thanks Mark, I hope it turns out alright, and if not, I will never let Dave know I tried haha. This time no mesh or anything similar. From below, you can tell I have had my fill of mesh, the one for sale from Karl, and a custom made by Mr. Cichon. I am going to use the heavy surround on the mesh grille and trim it down, then try to weld on vertical slats, but something a little different

Too funny. I think closely spaced vertical rods would look absolutely the best on our cars, the verticals would appear as if sweeping up from the road over the hood. Awesome try. But if it fails....180 who???

As always, it's up to personal preference -- but I'm with you guys, I really like the OEM grill. I understand why some would want to change it to make it unique or to personalize it, but I see so few of these on the road anyway it screams unique even as a OEM.

While I see your point, when people see the front of an OEM crossfire, they immediately see a sebring (because its grill is almost identicle), and that is not what I am trying to portray....

Somebody's going to make a mint after that waterfall grille is released.

1. It screams luxury.
2. Entirely in keeping with the overall art deco design.
3. Hundreds of CF owners want one.

What's the plan for the lower grilles?
