Default First Service , Need a new dealer .

I just picked it up yesterday after getting the TSB on first gear taken care
of . They had the car 8 days almost 9 and when I picked it up it had grease on the center console , shift **** and the steering wheel .
The hood had 3 greasy hand prints on it and 1 on the roof above the door .
They said they dont wash non customer paying jobs but if I want a oil change they would be happy to wash it .
The service manger was out at a customer service training class when I ask to speak with him so I left voice mail , no call back so far .
Still love the car and it does shift very nice now , So they got the important
part right .

CA:

That is just nonsense.

I picked my car up yesterday for the radiator hose recall and the second wind noise TSB. Both warranty, and no charge. My car was whashed outside, and the floor swept inside.

My advice? Call and ask to speak to the owner/manager of the dealership. Be polite, but make sure he understands how unhappy you are in how you received your car back from service.

And my dealership makes follow up calls a few days after service to see if I was pleased with the work. If yours does that, be honest and tell them. It is the only way to fix this type of sloppy service.

And finally, if they don't care, you are right. Find another dealer!

Randy,

I'll go one step farther and just say that was total bullsh*t, to hell with being PC!!! I'd also tell the service manager the same thing.

I've learned to look the car over with the service guy when you take it in and make a note and condition of the car. Inspect it with the service guy before accepting it back. My dealer provides me with no extra service such as a courtesy wash afterwards. My Honda dealer washes every car they work on. Go figure...

Why did they have your car for 8 days? What did they do, repair the syncros? They should of had the parts on hand before they even opened it up.

Glad it's fixed even tho you got it back in a sloppy condition!!! (If you leave the grease all over the car, I'm sure you can win the "Sin City Hook-Up" Dirty Car Award).....

I agree, they should not return the car back to you any less clean than it was when you gave it to them. That is TOTAL BS and tell them that if they dont clean up their mess that you WILL report them to Chrysler. BTW are they a 5 Star dealer? I understand that they are supposed to be held to a higher standard if they are. They can risk losing that status with complaints like this.

I posted in the tech thread about this very same issue..
I will pick up my car today...and already I am unhappy.
The service tech did'nt have any time for nonsense....and was argumentative about the TSB's.
First time it's been away from home.....and already it's a nightmare!!
Going to check the X from head to toe!!

Where at in NJ are you? There is a dealer in Lawrenceville on Route 1 called Dick Greenfield and they are open 24 hours M-F and till 4:30 on Saturday. I havent really heard anything bad about them.

I actually plan to buy my Xfire from Brandow over in Warminster, PA. That is where I bought my Wrangler from and it's where a good friend of mine works as a salesman. Their servide department has also been nothing but good to me with the Jeep.

Doesn't this just illustrate the absurdity of it all?

Clinton is CENTRAL?!?!?! LOL

I guess only Newark is considered North Jersey. I thought Edison was the southern border of North Jersey. This place really is two states in one. hahahahaha

www.dickgreenfield.com is the dealer in Lawrenceville, but now that I think about it, they are a Dodge shop and might not have a Xfire tech, but as big as they are, you never know.

Its because they dont want to be caught up in the stigma of "North Joisey"

I have only lived in this state for 7 years but I see such a division between areas here. People south of 195 want nothing to do with the norterners above 195 and the people that live north of 78 think that everyone below 78 are hicks. I also always thought that the area between 78 and 195 was what is considered central jersey. Never really heard of any east to west designations of than being at the shore or in the river valley.

Update , Still have not heard from the service manager but I received a call from some customer service agent asking how my service experience
went , This guy had no clue about the problem when I finished you could hear a pin drop on his end .
He said this situation would be made right and they hoped I would
give them a second chance to do better , My reply to that was I might have thought about it if the service manger would have called me back .

I won't name names, but the initials of the dealer in question are HUNTER DODGE CHRYSLER in Lancaster, I have never had any luck with them on my PT, and my Crossfire will never be in there! I bought both cars in Canoga Park at David Ellis Chrysler, great service and sales! Good luck on a call from Tom Fuller, the owner, or from Kevin, who is Service Manager, the term customer service for them is "Next Customer Please"!!!

My baby goes in for her first service on Tuesday. I'm scared to death already!!!

It says something about Chrysler service that I am going out of my way on Tuesday to drop off my car... when Thursday would have been much more convenient. Reason: I'm driving up to Washington DC on Friday and wanted to leave a few day buffer between service and my trip to fix any small problems that might result from my service trip....

Haven't brought the car in yet and am already expecting problems...

If your from anywhere in New Jersey the place to get your Crossfire is Reedman Corp in langhorne, Pa. on Rt 1 I'll sell it to you myself and if any dealer beats me I'll cut your grass, weedwack and bag it for a year. We sell them for cost or below like Mc Donalds gives out those little ketsup bags And you can take it anywhere you want for service. How we do it ? We sold 14,957 units last year between 7 franchises and i've been selling chryslers there for 21 yr's. My Crossfire is mine not a demo and if you want to buy or lease one call me I'll even beat your friends deal that works over brandow in Warminster Pa. My name is Bob Nieves 267/312/5329 and i drive Crossfire #2515 Graphite 6 sp

Picked up the car friday afternoon...
Everything went ok...had to tell them to reset the computer...other than that...it looks good.
They even told me about a new TSB out on the back latch. He ordered it for me and they will call me when it is in.

Phew... I had a great experience. NO problems. NO hassle. In fact, it was very pleasant.

Plus. $0 out the door.

Can't beat that. :P
