you're right it is a crossfire forum. i think the original post relates to the general public's unfamiliarity with the crossfire. no less crossfire-related than many of the posts here. towards the end there was some discussion of where two people could meet to see one another's crossfires (e.g. a mini-mid-atlantic get together. no one complained when the west coasters planned a get together. if anything jeff and i strayed a little from the topic. so if anything the OP should be pi$$ed off. oh, wait, that's me.
Well sorry to stir up such a ruckus. No I dont own one YET. But the deal is done, I am just waiting on my Z06 to come back from the paint shop so that I can trade it in.
I have come here to learn what I can about the car and bond with some other owners. LOL you dont want to go scaring away future owners do you
I try not to act like a troll and if you have read through most of my posts you can see that I actually try to help people with the common car knowledge that I do have. So lets all get along shall we? 8)

Didn't mean to come off in a bad mood or anything. I was just trying to point out there are other forums within this board for stuff like that. Guess we all, myself included get carried away at times....

And I agree, but to my own defense, this topic went a little off course. It didnt start out to be a where are you from thread. It just kind of evolved into that. Should you feel that strongly about it then simply have the mod move the whole thread to the off topic area. Of course there is also the other option of simply not looking at it any more

Rob,
Surprised you haven't seen more Xfires in MD, especially Bal'more.
When I had mine (black), I was all over the place, frequently on the Beltway 'round your way.
By January of this year, I saw routinely one or two a day (often probably the same), several SSB's, a couple reds, another black, an alabaster, and a couple graphites, all between Baltimore and Annapolis (well, the alabaster on Rt. 50 between Bowie and DC, thought it was Bonsterbum, but it wasn't).
Since I got rid of mine, I've seen a few more that I think are different cars because of where I'd seen them. Saw two in Ocean City the weekend before memorial day...an alabaster and an SSB. I think the SSB belonged to the owner of the Cork Bar.
They're out there!

what does crossfire mean in merlin dialect ?
Robbradsell, here in Merlin, crossfire probably means you really cranked one with your STX or Brine. 'Course, the new kids might use a Warrior, or even a DeBeers. Anyway, it's usually going to be a worm burner(1).
I drove my Crossfire back and forth to 4 games this weekend. D One was probably the best game all year, D Two was great too( 2).
(1) See also, use a lacrosse stick made by one of several manufacturers to shoot the ball with great velocity. When shot underarm, the ball can skip along the ground at more than 100 miles per hour, placing the phylum annelida in considerable jeopardy.
(2) This weekend, Bawlmer hosted the college lacrosse championships. The Division One and Two Finals, as well as several Semi-Final games, were won by one goal. Four games in 3 days were an excellent excuse to get some driving in.
P.S. My guest played hockey for Wales, drives a TVR, and loved both the tournament and my SSB.

hi, todd. interesting you saw an alabaster one in OC weekend before memorial weekend...i was over in rehoboth and had a few hrs to spare waiting to take cape may/lewis ferry to jersey that thursday for the weekend and was all over route 1 in the meantime. it would have been me if the plate was 'boni' (PA plate)
it's great you still stay in touch w/the forum (i giggle everytime i'm driving down West and think of you admiring your's in the glass pnc building)!
i'm in the same boat w/robm - other than another alabaster on constitution ave in DC one morning about 4:15am, and a black one that flew, and i mean flew  , down the 301/50 stretch through kent island on way across narrows bridge, i've not seen any others myself (and i've racked up 19.8K miles thus far trekking constantly between DC-KI, KI-PA and other various places regularly)!
where are they all (or is it that cloaking thing that jim & wes speak of)??? safe travels all bonster
ps wish i could join all of you on the skyline trek this weekend, but would need to change plans...if anyone would like to get together in the DC or eastern shore/annapolis area for a run, maybe we could pull a group together at some point this summer
