Default New Grille

After playing around and painting the OEM grille, I happened on a closeout price on a stainless grille and decided at the price I couldn't pass it up. I know many have this grille, but I really can't believe the difference. I can tell this one is turning a lot more heads than the last OEM grille and it seems this one is not as "see through" as some I have seen pics of. In fact, I was asked what kind of car this was this morning at Starbucks for the first time and my wife and daughters say it makes the car look like a much more expensive car.

I also found the chrome coverings for the OEM grille and I am glad I got this one instead (half the cost).

Anyone with this grille: any downsides? I did notice some minor scratches from the OEM grille that are now visible and may need some touchup. Any long term issues?

nope, once you get it shaped to the way the front curves, they look ok. I have a black one on the roadster, lowers too, and silver metalic one on the coupe. No problems at all.

Just got the black one on my coupe.

Having to bend one of the sides to match the curves, but other than that I love it.

Waiting on my Needswings Dual CAI now

Can't wait to see those bad @$$ filters through the front.

How do you go about bending the sides to match the curves? I've been looking at one of these for awhile now.

My mother always said it's best to not say anything if you cannot say anything positive, so I'm keeping my opinions to myself.
This may actually be the first time I've done as she told me.
LOL

I'll say it for you Dave : "IT SUCKS !!!"
Now, if someone made one without that ridiculous 1.5 - 2" border, WE might reconsider.

Mine look a little better with the center spine. I agree the bezel is too large. Been looking into remedying that for a while. But in person my car looks pretty good with it.

This style of grille is starting to grow on me, it gives the Crossfire a more aggressive look...IMO. I'm going to be looking for one but with a narrower frame around it.
