Default Spoiler engaged when I start the car.

I know that the likely culprit is probably the battery, but had the same problem 7 months ago and already replaced the battery. Any thing else I should look for?

Have your battery load tested by a reputable repair shop or where you bought the battery. Batteries can go bad in a matter of days or weeks. Rule out the most obvious first.

PS Be sure your battery connections are good. Looks can be deceiving.

I had the same problem after one of the Xfires had been in storage for 6 months. I recycled the spoiler manually a couple of times and that seemed to solve the issue. If I remember correctly I started the car between recycles. Hope this works.

I miss my old pop up wing. I really did like that feature.

I had my spoiler deploy like that after the car had sat for a while. The battery could still start the car but it was low enough to get the spoiler confused.
I charged the battery as it was the winter and it did not happen again.

180 maybe that is why my spoiler worked perfectly after I ran the car and fully charged the battery. The battery was nost probably weak from sitting so long. Maybe exercising it had nothing to do with the solution. Who knows; not me. I attributed it to electronic gremlins.

If the car sits for extended periods with no action, make the investment and get yourself a Battery Tender (just Google it for details and purchase).

It's worth the price, as it will float charge your Battery during long periods of inactivety...

Do you have any lights on the dash or the light on the spoiler switch lit or blinking?

I miss the wow factor, and seeing people point as I accelerated away. But the SRT spoiler simply adds visual depth to the rear of the vehicle that is much-needed from a design standpoint.

Interestingly enough, I still catch people in my rear-view mirror that are explaining the wing to their buddies in the car with them, as they point and do the motion with their hand.

Default low battery gremlins

I concur with the low battery thang, the spoiler-up-on-start-up has happened to me when I haven't driven in a couple of weeks. I've noticed other "low voltage" gremlins as well - like, a couple of weeks ago, the fan and A/C wouldn't work until I'd been highway driving for five minutes or so, after a month or so of neglect. No issues since. I'm going to TRY to make sure I at least take it out on the weekends, I promise.
