I wonder why so expensive to ship? The box they come in is not THAT large and not heavy at all. $100 seems excessive, unless you're getting them sent via some express air shipment (FedEx, etc.).

Perhaps we can start a thread for common parts. I'll get the list together and post in the proper forum.

Wey hey, illuminated door sills have arrived already!!!!! I don't even have the car yet! Those guys at Huffines sure did a great job in posting them out quickly.

The installation instructions look a little complicated to me, all pictures and no words, it also looks like you have to remove quite a lot of stuff in order to install them. I'll still give it a go myself though.

I've uploaded scanned in copies of the install instructions for these scuff plates if anyone is interested in taking a look, just click on my Album.

Saldous,

I managed to get about ’1100 off list price from Swain & Jones in Farnham off my Crossfire and about ’600 off list for a PT Cruiser when bought at the same time. Am interested in whether you can retrofit the boot cover. :?: Would like to see pictures of your sills etc when fitted.

Yes you can retrofit the boot cover. The one I saw being done at the dealers was a retro fit.

Once I get the car I'll fit the sills and take pics etc.. Not sure I'll get time to do it next Sat (19th) as I've got other things on then but some time the week after I'll get around to doing it.

Sweet. I can't wait. Can't believe I've still got over a week to wait to get my car. Grrrr. It is my own fault. I could have had it a few days ago. But my current car that I've sold has some repairs next week so until they are done I can't get the new car. :-(

saldous thats a great price, guess the fact you took finance also helped, still haven't seen another xfire on the road apart from fleeting glimpses, maybe one morning i'll see mark on the M25.

Anyhow whoever i see first is going to get 6 months of pent up waving!

and do let us know how it goes i fancy them as an xmas present.
