Default Do mods invalidate your warranty?

So if I put in a powerchip or a K&N filter, what's the dealer going to say about my warranty if I have to take the Crossfire in for service? I figure if I ask the service dept, they'll say "don't change anything OR ELSE" but I don't know what the real scoop is on it. Anyone know?

You need to read the Magnuson-Moss Warranty

US Code - Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))

I'm not telling the dealer about the chip. The K&Ns are acceptable replacement filters. They won't do anything to your warranty. As for the chip...... They would really have to know what they are doing to detect it.
