Default Bas/esp?

My BAS/ESP light comes on every so often. Seems like its when I turn my stereo systems up it does so. I have 2 12" Kicker CVR, AMP and a capacitor. Why does this light keep coming on but goes off if I turn my car off then back on?

You need to have a volt meter reading of the battery circuit when you have the system cranked up. It may be taking the electrical system down low enough to effect the voltage going to the BAS/ESP systems, causing the light to come on.

Try to monitor the car voltage when cranked. You can buy a digital meter to plug into your cig lighter to monitor voltage.

PS My son had some similar issues with his Blazer. He had to buy a high output alternator to correct the problem. He also installed a digital read out volt meter on the dash so he knew how loud he could go before it would effect his charging system.

you can put the car in the on/run position, then, crank the wheel all the way to the right stop, then all the way to the left stop, then back to center... This should reset it...but there is a sensor, that could be going bad as well. The Angle Sensor, or something like that...James may be correct as well. The car is sensitive to voltage spikes...

Whats that AMP rated at? And how high of a load do you have it wired up to? Depending on how big of a load that amp is running at, that capacitor might be hurting more than helping. Its always a better idea to upgrade "the big 3"/battery/alternator before getting a capacitor. Depending on your amp, my advice to you would be to ditch the capacitor, upgrade your "big 3" and then look at a battery like the RedTop you mentioned, or even better the YellowTop.

If that system made you blind instead of deaf you'd wouldn't notice.

It may be before your time but it meant GM, Chrysler and Ford. But sometimes now its three wires on your car.
Kinda sad really.
