How many Arabs have died as a result of crude oil in general?

Food for thought.

I buy whatever is handy, I go through too much for me to be picky.

My car runs fantastic with BP and seems to have less of a rotten-egg smell at high speeds. Same with Shell/Exxon. It's when I use the cheaper brands that I get the sulphur smell.

Used to always use Shell in all my cars, until they pull out of eastern Pennsylvania about 15 years ago. Amaco was my second choice which were bought by BP. After the oil spill, all the BP stations in the area closed. Left with only Wawa 92, Lukoil 93 bought out Exxon stations, Giant grocery store 92 and Gulf 92.

Up here in Ontario, '94 Octane has been available for years. I put it in all my vehicles including the lawnmower! Sunoco was my brand of choice, but Sunoco has been taken over by Petro Canada who now sells the '94 Octane. The bad news is, Ethonal is found in all our gas as mandated by the Provincial Government. Depending on what province (state) you live in, the Ethonal mix varies and can be as high as 10%. Rumours of increasing it to 20% in Ontario persist.
Here is a link to Petro Canada's gasoline grades.

Here is a link for my Ontario friends that explains the Provincial Law regarding Ethonal.
Ethanol in Gasoline - Ministry of the Environment

That said, I use my local Shell station and pump the V-Power gas. I'm guessing it has Ethonal as well, but if you go to the Shell Canada web site, they make no mention of it.

When I'm on the road I use BP or Shell, whichever is least expensive. I can understand boycotting BP for those still pissed off about the Gulf spill. But then, Exxon had that little problem in Alaska.
Around here Speedway is the first place to raise prices. They some times will raise the price and when the other stations don't go along with them, lower the price back to where it was the next day.

I only run Shell in the Crossfire. In fact, in all my cars. For at least the last 15 years. I get better gas mileage with Shell...

All technology kills - not to be cold-hearted, but 11 people don't really matter in the grand scheme of things. I wonder what the safety record of oil drilling and production is in the middle east.

Besides, all the conspiracy sites will tell you: Obama made it all happen to fuel sentiment to stop all drilling in the gulf, part of his master plan to get gas up to $8 a gallon "where it belongs".
