Drove My X-Fire 1st Time In A Month
And A Fine Morning To You All,
Having parked my Red-Rocket last January, I wish to save the car for my retirement, we went for a ride on Saturday. What a thrill, if I wasn't so crazy to want to keep it like new, it has 34K miles, I would be tempted to drive it every day. But with all of the horror stories I am hearing about trying to get body parts for these cars, I shall stick to my plan and use the Mazda Miata MSM to get me around.
I have to admit though, the X-Fire fits me better, its interior is enormous compared to the Miata, the stereo's sound is superior and the view over the steering wheel is unlike any car I have ever owned.
Drive On,
John

Drive and enjoy it, any number of things could happen or not. Enjoy it while you can. I drive mine all year except in the snow - I only have summer tires on it and I don't want to tempt fate.
I agree. I drive both of mine all summer, then they hibernate all winter to avoid salt and sliding idiots. It is always a thrill to get them out of the garage in April and take that first ride.
Sounds like quite a few members came from a Miata heritage.. lol. I hate watching the miles click off on mine as she is my daily driver. But keeping her maintained and cared for I'm hoping her miles and mine hit the finish line at the same time..
Miata sits waiting on my son to get his act together (school..).
Dang it...DRIVE IT! Enjoy the weekend drives if the weather is nice, if not no lost. I did not buy 2 Crossfires just to keep them "winterized". I love driving...Yes, if the snow is 4 foot, most likley i would keep in the garage, but watching Rebecca come home the other sunny day at 34 degrees with the top down was great. She said the heaters were working fine, the sunny was bright and there was a nip in the air...hahahahahaha. Love the Crossfire they were made to drive.
