Default Minor problems

Well, tomorrow I will have had my car one week. I have put a little over 200 miles on it. I have one problem that I knew about when I purchased the car and one unforseen problem. The first problem is that the electric door locks do not work. When I bought the car I thought it was just dead batteries in the key fob. New batteries and the locks still will not work. the switch in the car does not unlock/lock the car either. So I guess it is a switch or ??. I don't even know where to start to find the problem since I know nothing about how this system is put together. Suggestions? The other problem is the "standing" lights, both left and right will not turn off. Right now I have to unhook the battery or take out fuses to keep the battery from dying. I need to get a new switch to fix this I assume. Is there any xfire fix-it manual or anything that might help me with these problems? Thanks.

First I would check the fuse and see if its blown. Next I would go to the trunk and look at the Centrol Locking Module and check the connectors, especially if it is a convertible. Been there done that.

Go here for practically every manual and repair manual you will need. download and save to your computer, back them up as well.

You need the 2005 repair manual.

By standing lights I guess you mean the parking lights. These may be on one fuse you can pull. These fuses are in the drivers end of the dash. Fuses #7 and #10 I think.
