They are not designed to come apart, although it has been done, I see in one thread where it was done with a Xacto knife, in another with a hot wire.

maxcichon says you can pour some 100% methyl alcohol in thru the little running light hole and get some cleaning done.

Unless he wants to play the dremel game.. LOl. I hope at 55 watts you sprung for the relay kit?

Another hint : after you remove all 4 bolts and the unit is loose, then remove the 2 aluminum screw things that the bottom bolts went in. This will give you the needed clearance to then remove the units from the car.

To re-install, get the units back in, then screw the aluminum nuts in all the way, snug down the upper bolts, then screw the aluminum nuts back out until they just touch the mounting tabs, reinstall lower bolts and tighten, then tighten the top ones.

I got my kits, and like expected, they didn't come with rubber grommets. What are the thickness of these usually? Do you think an old rubber inner tube from a bike tire would work? or does it need to be thicker

Inner tube should work... just make holes in it (snug fitting )for the wires and slice it for the wires to slide into then use the adheasive of your choice to attach it to the OEM rubber cap.

WHEW! I finished the install for the highs and lows! fogs tomorrow. It only took me 8ish hours lol. They look good! I ended up cutting a slit along the oem cap to a small hole in the bottom. This is where I routed all 4 wires. It looks very clean and I didn't have to cut or splice anything. I put the ballasts under each headlight stacked one atop another.

Problems I ran into.... I was unable to reseed the cooling tank back in that bloody hole.. so I just bolted it down and left it. If anyone has any tricks to getting it back in, let me know.
Also, it seems like my right head light is angled a bit to the right, I don't know if this is because of my instal, or if there is a trick to it.

Anyways I'm exhausted I'm going to get the fogs in then probably buff my headlights then ill take a picture.
Let me know if anyone has anymore info about ^^^. Hope this makes sense, I'm pretty tired

Thankyou.

Are the front fog lamps H7 bulbs like the headlamps.... if so i will get some 65 watt HIDs for them aswell.

Another thing i found on e-bay..... red coloured stop tail bulbs.... they make the rear lamps a deaper red and look even better.
I also got some amber lens paint in a bottle about the size of a bottle of nail varnish (no i dont wear mail varnish lol).....and added to the amber indicator bulbs..... look a nice deap flash now....

Have a great day you guys.

Good tips Grant! No, the fog lights are 9006. similar kit just different bulb housing. And, I bought chromed red lights for the rear blinker, I don't like amber that's why I'm looking for clear front side markers

Been waxing them since we got it, and it has 23-24k miles which helps.
