Default Stereo is on but no sound from the speakers

I had to jump the car to start and the power surge blew the fuse on the back of the stereo. Replaced that, stereo works but no sound is coming out of the speakers. Is there another fuse besides the #23 under the hood and the one on the back of the stereo? Maybe the amp is gone.

Cavities 5 and 8 in the engine fuse compartment are both listed as "Radio." They're both 15 ampere blue fuses. Cavity 23 is also a blue fuse and is the actual "sound booster" (amp) fuse. Checking the amp fuse is probably a good place to start.

I've been doing a little fuse pulling lately. Central locking was shot (some people don't even know they're missing it) and so were the heated seats. Fuses fixed them both.
