Default Best exhaust?

I'm looking to put an exhaust on my 05 limited crossfire. Personally, I really don't like the tips of the magnaflow but i do love how they sound. Is there a way where i can keep the stock tips without having to change it all? Sorry again, I'm kinda new to exhaust and i really dont know a whole lot about them.

Take your car to an exhaust shop and have them put on a single inlet, dual outlet Magnaflow muffler. Either cut your OEM tips off and have them installed, or buy a used set off the forum to have installed. Many have done it both ways. A good custom exhaust shop will do it any way you like.

Here is the first exhaust system I had installed. OEM verses Magnaflow for comparison.

there is nothing but open pipe from the cats back

As for noisy - once or twice it gets a little droney but you quickly learn to drive slightly differently. There is no doubt it makes the drive noisier - but at 80ish it's not unbearable, and under full throttle it sounds positively evil. Went through the tunnels by Cannary Wharf at the weekend..... W O W!!!

If you want a loud @$$ muffler the Megan Racing M-RS muffler is a good choice. I have it, pics in my gallery but i'll put one here. I get compliments on the sound all the time, especially at gas stations from fellow car enthusiasts.

However, I do also get glares from old people and weirdos who just don't understand.

To be honest though I wish I went for the Magnaflow, just from a performance standpoint. But you can't beat $150 really. (Not by a lot at least)

Megan Racings muffler is the best in my opinion other than ansa, but the ansa is expensive. There is no performance difference for exhaust, cat back or just mufflers. Maybe 1 hp...... if that.

Oh and here's a YouTube video I forgot I had posted. Crappy video camera doesn't pick up the sound THAT well but you can tell it's MUCH deeper now.
