Word to the Wise (Touring Gear)
For those who are new to ownership and those who have still yet to recieve their gear keep reading! I have just recieved my gear exactly 1 week from purchase of my car  . My dealer had no clue on the luggage system since they have really sold no crossfires  . I let them know that they are the ticket to my luggage arrival in that they need to fill out a form after my purchase of the vehicle. I also let them know to contact Chryslers main offices to find out everything they need to know to get the ball rolling! Trust me = if you stay on top of this = your luggage is just a few days away!!! Mine arrived UPS (ground) from St. Louis! Oh ... if you are still having problems call: 1-866-871-1326 and ask for Kelly (if the above is followed you should have no problems).
Oh, if it were only that easy. I'm at 9 weeks since I first spoke with Kelley and still no luggage. I also had a guy at DC customer service give me an incident number and assure me the matter was settled. You are correct about the whole process starting at the dealer level and mine has been less than cooperative.
I got mine today.. about 2 weeks after purchase:

Looks like nice stuff!
Thanks Chysler! Only cost me 30K for it!

Is the Lugguage Offer only available to those who finance their cars through Chrysler Financing?
My Dealer Representative told me that I did not qualify for the luggage.
While I purchased my car over a month ago, it is still sitting in Benicia. I will feel lucky if I get the car let alone the luggage. But the luggage would be nice too.

The luggage has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FINANCING!!
When you get your car - look at your sticker. If it says
Touring Gear ------ That's it. You paid for it - it's yours.
Don't let them tell you Touring Gear means the aerodynamic mirrors or something like that. It is the luggage. You get it shipped to you after delivery.
Good Luck!!!

Does your invoice list all the standard features of the car - like the heated seats, radio, etc? If so, then it should also be on your invoice. It is a standard feature of the 2004 Coupe (in the US).

The Invoice I received does not state Touring Gear, Heated Seats, or Keyless entry, or Infinity 240Watt CD Stereo, but it does list Leather Seats, Dual Air, Anti-Theft alarm, Power Seats, Doors, Windows, and Mirror.
I have never used emoticons - ever - but this situation seems to call for their use. ':?:'

Since I purchased this car through a complicated process, and it was complicated to purchase this car through the Military Exchange Program, I did not have the ability to see or even test drive the car I purchased; I realize I took a real leap of faith. I like what I read about the car and the responses by many owners on this forum. Again, my car sits in Benicia, CA. When it arrives I will look at the Invoice Sticker if it is still on the car to seee if the touring gear is listed.
Any ideas?

1. Does your paperwork list an APO/FPO mailing address for you in Korea, and if so is it one to which FedEx (or whatever carrier the fulfillment company uses) can deliver? I no longer have the shipping boxes, and can't recall if the Gear comes direct from D/C or from some third party.
2. Despite the fact that UK Crossfire's list Touring Gear on their window sticker, it's been reported they can't get the lugagge because of some EU ban on American textile products. If there is a similar ban in Korea, you may be out of luck unless it can be delivered solely through military/government transport methods.

Most qualifying buyers, servicemembers specifically, purchase their cars through OMCS BX/PX Contractor for delivery on CONUS but for those, like me, who live and work in support of deployed servicemembers, we are allowed to take delivery OCONUS. The Crossfire, however, is a whole different car. OMCS could not sell me the car because of the regulation forbidding the sales of non USA made cars (i.e., cars with more than 40% non USA manufactured parts). However, I was able to make a purchase through Autoexhangeonline a subsidiary of OMCS in Europe. Autoexhange primarily delivers to CONUS or Europe, they never had a request to deliver to Korea. Beginning to see the picture. It took a lot of email and time to make this deal happen.
Yes I can buy any car I wish and import to Korea under SOFA with, I believe, the exception of V12 Engines. Under SOFA I am entitled to one automobile. I could have purchased a Crossfire through a dealer in the US who would ship the car to korea, but the cost would escalate significantly.
My Crossfire is finally scheduled to leave Benicia, CA on the 16th. It is already on the ship: ETA - September 5th. I guess I will have to wait to see the Window stick. However, I have sent my sales representative in NYC a copy of DC contact information found above and I am waiting her response. Initially my sales representative was in Germany, but my account was transfered to NYC. This has been an international transaction. Fitting for such an interesting automobile. Agree?
After seeing the posts about the Touring Gear problems I asked my salesman about the luggage.
They searched the parts department and they did not have it.
I did not give them the check until I was assured that the Touring Gear would come in the mail after the vehicle was registered with Chrysler.
Sure enough!
I got the luggage via FedEx 1 week after I purchased my XFR.
My sticker did say "touring gear".

I'm nearing three months since I purchased my roadster and STILL have no luggage. After a plethora of increasingly ugly phone calls to sevearl poeple at the dealer, DC Customer Service and the ever ditzy Kelly at Crossfire Luggage, if I get a set of luggage from everyone the has promised "to get to the bottom of this and see to it your luggage is shipped today" I will be able to open a luggage store.
Hey all...I came home from work today and found the Touring Gear sitting outside my door!
I did hoot and holler about it at the dealer, but frankly as nice as they were, they knew nothing about the gear. But I did have them make a copy of the sticker and pointed out the item (whether it made a difference or not, who knows). I got my XF two weeks ago.
