Default Drivers door panel

I was wiping off my drivers door panel and a layer of skin started peeling off. Anyone else have this happen? All I used was a damp towel, as always. It almost looks like a layer of clear coat.

You say a layer of skin was peeling off? Of of which part, your arm, hands, face or what? Must have been your elbow, since you said a layer of skin peeled off while wiping down the door panel!

Kidding aside, that can't be good. Maybe your interior was Scotchgarded? (In case you don't know what that is: http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure/sc...tomotive.jhtml )

I have taken my door panel off to get to the speaker, and have not noticed anything like what you have described.

Actually, because the door and dash are such a rough surface I am unsure how to clean them. There are a couple of spots on the door and above the glovebox that are duller than the rest of the surface. Anyone have any good suggestions?

I had some marks in the boot (trunk) and a damp rag with soapy water did the trick, beware of using chemicals!

409 on a dark towel....lint free. spray the 409 on the towel not the interior panel...works great!
