Default Rock hit my windshield... :(

I was on the expressway on friday at around midnight going to pick up a friend to go to the beach and bam a rock hits my windshield. I have a half dollar size spider web crack now on the windshield. I was pist and went back home.

I've had the car for 3 weeks and this **** happens and also someone hit me by the back the first week i had the car. no damage though. The guy gave me 200 dollars cash but the damage is so minimal i'm not going to fix it.

I feel your pain...a rock hit the lower passenger side of my windshield, and less than 24 hours later, a crack had already started to creep up the glass. Glass shop estimate: $785.00  . Waiting to contact my insurance to decide whether to file or pay myself....

I already put a claim on the insurance. should be fixed today or tomorrow. Insurance pays for that w/o you paying the deductable.

My windshield replacement was $380.00 (installed) with a genuine Chrysler windshield. I used a mobile service to come to the house and it took them about 1 hour total

Sytech,
Hoping you still check the forum on occaision. Live in Ridgecrest, CA. (93555) and 2005 Limited windshield heavily pitted. What mobile service did you use ?

2005Ragtop - way to search and resurrect an old post!! I would hit the yellow pages - most windshield repair companies offer mobile service - and query them about Chrysler vs aftermarket windshield, price, and references.

Also check with your insurance company, if it's not covered under comprehesive, many insur co's sell a glass rider to the policy.

It's usually very cheap for this coverage, I would estimate around $20 bucks a year, or less...
