If I were to order an N/A from the dealer...
If I had the chance to order an N/A Crossfire from the dealer, this is the way I would have ordered it:
1. Black paint without accent color on strakes and windshield surround
2. Black leather upholstery, non-heated, non-electric seats
3. No NAV radio
4. 6-speed gearbox
5. Fog lights
6. SRT-6 wheels
7. C-R-O-S-S-F-I-R-E deleted from rear.
8. Sub-woofer and amp

I haven't poked my head inside too many other Crossfires. Are those seats stock, reupholstered or from another vehicle?
Reupholstered.
They must have been running a special on those here in southern Ohio, as there is another one just down the street from me. I didn't know they were that rare.
It is funny how so many of us have made our cars look exactly as we would want them from the factory. I don't know if they would allow this many options, but I like mine just the way it is...
Edit: Gary, where did you get the 1 of 140 from?

Edit: Gary, where did you get the 1 of 140 from? After I bought the Special Edition in 2006, I checked with Karmann on how many made. I was informed 140.There were 2 sold in Dayton the same day. I bought mine because it was and is, the most beautiful car I have experienced. The other was bought by a blonde lady.Apparently she still has it. gary

They had a used Special Edition at the local Chrysler dealer about 6 years ago. Checked it out - loved the rims but less features than my roadster. So I bought an SRT6 and got the rims.
I honestly miss my Limited quite often. SRT is stupid fast, but there's more to break. And having driven both, I truly prefer the balance of the Limited 6MT in the corners (where I have the most fun). Not being able to put all the power down, coming out of a turn, is disconcerting. And the gearbox never truly does what you want, when you want it.
Since we're dreaming of a factory-optioned Limited:

If I got bored, installing some SRT brakes would be more than ample on the Limited, and would tuck behind the SRT wheels without needing spacers. Calipers would remain black, as no "pop" color would flow well with gold. Pads would be Hawk HPS and rotors would be R-1 Concept slotted 330/300. Lines would be stainless, fluid would be ATE super-blue.
Aesthetically, I'd install some HID's and would install the cream-colored gauges from the R170 SLK 320 (0-160 mph). The orange side-markers would be 86'd in favor of the clear ones.
And then I'd find a curvy road home, each and every day.
You can tell I've given this some thought, yes?
Since we're dreaming of a factory-optioned Limited:
- Oyster Gold roadster
- Vanilla Interior (The revised one with black steering wheel and different glove compartment, post 2006)
- 6MT
- SRT Front Fascia
- Mopar accessory diffusers
- Roadster accessory luggage
- SRT wheels
