Default MAF Elbow

Hey guys, just wondering what the best way to remove the baffles in the MAF elbow is. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

I took pruning sheers to cut out the one side, the other side is slipped into a groove. Then I took sandpaper to smooth out my cuts. IMO though I would have used a dremel if I had one to grind the cuts then sand paper to finish it off. The sanding took forever.

i did the mod quickly, no time at all.
went to home depot/lowe's and bought a couple of grinding attachments for my cordless drill.
very simple.

I didnt even think of that. But yes that would be simpler.

Channel locks to break out the plastic, and my dremel with a sanding wheel quickly took care of the job...

is this above the MAF in the air box right where it connects to the enging. im gonna drop some kn in next week and was considering this too, also no negative side effects from doing this
???

Its in the 90 degree elbow right underneath the MAF.

while you are at it....take out the plastic screen.
just leave the metal mesh one.

thanks seems alot of people are doing this hopefully if i get a daya off ill get around to it but at the very least ill get rid of that plastic one, im learning more and more about our cars,
ps thatnks again for that upper molding just put it on 2 days ago looks great!
