Default Burned leg on exhaust tips

I just got home and popped the trunk open and then instant pain. I burned myself on the outer shin area. I wondered how many times this has happened to the Crossfire owners. Usually I get near the exhaust tips but this time it was too close. Ouch!

I've actually heard of that happening to several folks on here...

Hope you heal quickly!

Mine are about an inch out from stock and almost everyone has burned themselves who have been in my trunk at one point or another.. I have done it countless times. When I go to adjust the amp (You think I'd learn) I lean on to the back alot and almost every time I get burned, occasionally I will catch myself lol.

The original tips are a good 3 inches inside the outer edge of the bumper.....can't imagine anyone getting burned on them?????

I don't know about anybody else, but I never burned my leg on my Viper, but you could actually fry an egg on the rocker panel when you opened the door.
Never burned my leg on the Crossfire, but I probably will now just because I said that.
Now my AMX (with its Side Pipes) scorched more than few young ladies legs way back when, (even though I warned them ahead of time).
