Retina scan??!!??

When do you live? 2112? It's a judgement call between you and him. If you go to court, ask to see his dashcam footage of you trying to make the lane change with him ignoring your signal.

By all means go to court. If you want to improve your chances, ask for a continuance on the off chance your new court date will be a day the officer is not available to attend. At worst you're out a few dollars for missing work, and a lot of things could happen that are better than that.

Not in my very Conservative opinion, no. I would never allow it. "Take me in, Schutzstaffel. I'll only speak to your Brigadefuhrer."

I did not know Police were still giving tickets. Most municipalities are using cameras. They are cheaper and more efficient. Besides the SS was not police, they fought wars. gary

Don't worry our "friendly neighborhood police officers" can write all kinds of tickets, I got one a couple months ago for supposedly "hearing my tires". He even wrote the ticket up as an "exhibition of speed", after I questioned him about the absurdity, of getting pulled over because he thought he "heard something". Even with photographs of the intersection, all I could get was the ticket reduced to "speeding"...which I didn't even do

Damn this sucks! And to have been given a Retina Scan, i would have been very upset as well. Im not sure if you would win contesting this but like another post suggested was, i wonder what his dash cam recorded. Im sure i would not have given him permission to have allowed a Retina Scan but in these situations we never really know what to do because it usually is our first time with anything like this. It seems he was taking things above the necesary procedures for this traffic stop. But why would he ask what Dept you were with?

Fight it. Any ticket that you feel is unjust it worth fighting. That is why you have the option. If you don't excersize the option you can't really complain about it. It is a shame you have to waste your time doing it.

Another thought comes to mind. Times are tough right now. The more reasons they can find to give tickets means more revenue. JMO

I had a cop follow me for about 4 miles and he was right on my *** the whole time. I had my neons On which are street legal in Kansas. After a few miles I guess he got bored, pulled a U-turn and pulled someone else over.

The other night as I was on my way home. Im driving on the freeway going about 70mph and then I see a cop up ahead. I slowed down to the speed limit which was 60mph and I could tell he was going 60mph as well. I did not want to pass him because then he could get me for speeding. As I cruised several car lengths behind him other cars did this as well. Sure enough a car came from behind that did not know what was going on and when he passed the cop, the cop got behind him and turned on the lights and pulled him over.

I'd fight it, at least show up and tell your side of the story.

Sounds like the guy is one of the less-than-good cops, there are a few of them, most cops are good guys but there ARE a FEW of them.
