Vacation in our Crossfire
We just spent two weeks and 3600 miles in our Aero Blue '05 SRT6 Coupe on a fall color trip from our home in southeast Iowa to Bar Harbor, Maine. This is our second Crossfire (the first was a Graphite '04 Limited 6-speed coupe), and between the two we have logged over 120,000 very enjoyable miles.
Needless to say, we love Crossfires... how they look, drive and perform. We are both in our 60s, but it's said that you are as young as you feel, and our Crossfires have been a big part in our staying young at heart. We always watch for Crossfires as we travel and logged only a disappointing three on this most recent trip. However, we will continue to watch, and hope to see you all on the road!

Ahhh, a fall foliage trip. Sounds like a great time. I have to keep my tirps to mostly day trips. While my son is at college, I still have my daughter in the nest and she doesn't much like sittingi the hatch area
Anyway, the day trips with my wife are a great way to stay connected, enjoy the back roads and have some fun with some occassional spirited driving. Enjoy the ride.

We have taken several weeks long driving vacations in the scooter. Enjoyed each and every one of them. Your post reminded me that I haven't done one recently. I'll have to remedy that soon as I cease being homeless.
Sounds like a fun trip! I've found that the Crossfire is a great car to travel in. I drove mine from NW Ohio to Charleston SC about a month and a half ago and loved every minute of it.
As long as the weather holds, the roadster will be driving from MI to St Augustine and Ft Myers FL at the end of the month, then back. Can't wait to drop the top in warm weather again.
Leaving OKC in the morning for the East Texas GTG over the weekend. From there we will continue on to Clearwater FL. Then return in a week or 2. At least 2500 mi. round trip. Put new wide Hankooks on the rear earlier this week and i'm looking forward to see how they run. Long trips are the best.
We did not long as many miles but we did go to Sun Valley for our Fall – Color tour. It was marvelous and the curvy roads were fantastic. We also are always on the look out for Crossfire’s. I am always so surprise for the few owners who don’t care that you are driving one too, and have no interest in joining a club, or care less about the forum? I find all folks here informative and helpful.
Happy driving and go west next time.

The distance isn't important, it's the fact that you are getting out there.
We always wave when we encounter another Crosssfire, but have found it rare for someone to acknowledge. (Typically we get a blank stare or are ignored.) The reality is that there are apparently just a small percentage of us "Crossfire enthusiasts"... and the rest are just "car owners". We agree though, Forum folks seem very nice.
We may get to the left coast someday as lots of neat stuff to see out there, but nine of ten vacations are somewhere on the gulf anywhere from New Orleans to Key West.
