I would think long and hard about it before putting those door kits on your car. First they are ugly, and second our doors are so heavy they flap in the wind when they are up.

Hey guys, go easy on the lambo doors, IN THIS CASE.

I believe they are because of the OP's knee/leg issues. Hope you and Allen are doing alright

I'll never understand some peoples need to answer someones question with shitty responses. If you can't help with the question, then don't. No need to bash them or their ideas. Constructive criticism, not bashing. I am sure that this will not help and puts the target on me, but Oh well. I can take it, lol. I found a kit online for cheap awhile back. Google lambo doors crossfire and some cheap ones come up. Good luck building your dream crossfire and let no one deter you from your vision of perfection

I have seen several in person, and to the best of my knowledge, there is a direct bolt on kit, but IIRC it was somewhere near $1,500. I would be very leary of the cheaper kits because the windshield washer tank is in the fenderwell where most of the kits put their brackets, and it needs to be cut and reseemed, which looks like **** unless you spend a bunch of money doing it well, there were also a few other things that needed to be modified with the cheaper kit. The more expensive one was 100% bolt on and fully reversible. I would ask Randy, as was suggested earlier because he just went through this...

Do a search for lambo doors. I had them on my daughter's SRT for about 2 1/2 years. They were a nice novelty, a PITA. They are very heavy doors. The wife hated them. No one else can drive the car. Forgetvalet.....ect ect. But they looked pretty cool. It was not a bolt on kit.

See picture below and maybe my gallery.

I was thinking they may help me get in & out with my bad knees. I did get in a Lamborghini at the euro fest show and it was much easier to get out of. If we do decide they would only be on my coupe not Allen's roaster. That's for the in put. Joanne

The real Lambo doors are very light and thus very easy to use. Add 100 lbs to the door and opening them while you are sitting down in the XF is difficult and will strain your muscles, even with strong hydraulics. You also have to reach out and up to pull down the doors and gently so the doors do not bounce when they hit bottom.

My daughter did not even lift the doors. She would open the door to the first hinge and get out. Also you will lose the washer fluid container, unless you want to cut it and reseal it.

You will be getting in and out of the XF the same way whether you have or don't have the lambo doors.

Randy

We have a carport we keep our crossfire in and not much room to open the doors. And I still like the look of the lambo doors. I hope to have them by next fall dragon.
