Default New owner of old car

Just bought a 04 CF has. bas/ESP light does not go out after the lock to lock reset. Also has a lamp out warning lamp all light on except tag lamp, could they trigger the warning lamp? I absolutely love the car 74000 miles I the 3rd owner clean car fax pulled the Dtc's get a po410 checked the relay looks okay blower activates if I manually operate the relay cleaned all electrical connectors applied dielectric to them pulled all fuses cleaned and dielectric grease sales fuse box cover some indication of prior moisture intrusion the prior po 730 was caused by me during test run accidently bumped auto stick into a lower gear under hard accel over revved cleared the code and it never showed back up. How do you test wheel speed sensor too expensive to just buy and try also may not be the problem, also the battery is a few years old, could be a voltage drop maybe?
Sorry for all the question just a little excited first move back to sports cars in 25 years, been doing the Harley thing , also tires? Eagles or Kuhmo's both avail in my area Very reasonable thanks all Karl

Hi Karl,

CONGRATULATIONS on your Crossfire purchase and WELCOME to the forum! Virtually any information you might need about fixing / repairing / modifying your Crossfire can be found on this forum. The "search" tools are your friend.

I can't answer all your questions but can advise that the "tag lights" (also the interior lights and the glove box light) are not monitored by the lamp out warning system and therefore will not trigger that lamp out warning light on the dash display. I might suggest that you double check to be sure both of your backup lights are working. Also, the Lamp out can be triggered if someone may have previously installed an LED lamp into one of the monitored lighting positions. ENJOY your Crossfire.

Welcome, and good luck with your XF! I can't help anyone yet, as I don't have mine yet. I get it on Monday.

Wouldn't backup lights only trigger when put in reverse? Maybe it's an 04 thing.. but could have sworn my tag light triggered my dash indicator..

Tag lights will trigger the bulb out indicator, why have an indicator light when an important bulb is not on the circuit? That is probably the most common bulb that blows that people miss it out checking.
Are the tire sizes the same side to side and close to stock, maybe they could trigger BAS/ESP light.

Well . . . maybe I'm wrong about the "tag light" not setting off the lamp out system. If so, I'm sorry to have misled you . . .

I've been wrong twice already this year so this will make THREE times! . . . LOL. I replaced both of my tag light bulbs with LED bulbs and they did not trigger the lamp out system (but maybe I bought CANBUS bulbs . . . I really don't remember for sure). I also replaced the interior dome light bulbs and the glove box blub with LEDs and they did not trigger the lamp out system either.
