"might" not be your problem, but if your car has over 60K on miles, I'd think about getting a Bosch cps from Ebay. My car was throwing 02 sensor codes when I bought it. Would clear them with the OBD2 reader and within two weeks they were back. Car ran fine. CPS finally died and since replacing it (7 months now) the cel has not come back on.

Ok, there might be other issues....

But, I've seen on many other threads in XFforum...post from the battery police...

The battery needs to be replaced, if it is the original...

I would clear the codes to insure the 171 and 174 are the cause of the no start.

(P0171) FUEL SYSTEM 1/1 RICH CONTROL

(P0174) FUEL SYSTEM 2/1 RICH CONTROL

If it is 171 and 174 codes I would suspect filter or pump failure. My guess would be pump failure with too little pressure and fuel at the injectors.

Get the fuel pressure tested.

Run too lean for too long and you could have bigger problems to solve. Engines are hard to start cold with a lean mixture.

The battery seems fine for now, the trouble with old batteries is that they can quit on you at the worst possible moment. I changed both my Vartas when they were working fine, but I did not want to be caught if one went dead suddenly on me. Stuck miles from anywhere you would pay dearly to have a new battery to put under the hood.

I have found a furl pump BOSCH on ebay. NEW for $64 instead of $170 to $500 on Advanced Autoparts! Insane

So Got a fuel Pump $60 BOSCH
CPS Wells $11.99
MAF $30

Not too bad when you go online to these auto stores. Only one part would be $150...INSANE

Hopefully it is going to take care of the problem. At least I will have new sensitive parts!
Will update soon!
