1. CAI ( Cold Air Induction ), either single or dual.
2. 74mm throttle body to replace the stock 68mm one.
3. A EuroTune.

4. Trade it for a SRT6
5. a MB V8 engine.

1,2,3 can be done in any order.
4, & 5. demands you start with a fat wallet.

In the below picture, I have a single CAI, a 74mm TB & the EuroTune, although the only thing you can really see is the CAI.

Be weary of the V8... You have a manual and the software side has not been figured out yet. Jim and Rudy have been going like crazy for a long time. Renntech is saying it's possible but they want me to give them my car (3000 mile trip lol), 3 or 4 other companies said no possible way. I have another person I contacted who may have something, but Im waiting on confirmation.

Do 1-3 as stated above.... 4 .... or swap in the SRT motor along with a killer chiller instead of heat exchanger(s)...

1,2 & 3 willget you to 290 HP. Not exactly SRT6 but you will be able to hang with them in everything but a straight out 1/4 mile drag.

If you like rowing your gears, this level of power will amaze you and keep you happy.

(for a while.)

V8 power is crazy and not cheap. Go SRT6. but thenyou give up the clutch fun.

roadster with a stick.

the way it should be!

Not trying to "thread steal" here. But does anybody know of somebody with a 6spd. who has actually taken their car to the drags with these three mods?
I would really like to hear what a 290 h.p. Crossfire would do.

Or correct this:

Tune..25hp
Throttle body..5-8hp
CAI.. guess that leaves 40 hp..
Stock advertised..215hp
Total.. 290 ish..

Well that's kinda why I asked.
A 440 V8 only put out 280 h.p.
I would think if somebody put a 440 V8 into a Crossfire, (even with a 3.27 gear) it would be well into the 13's.

I am getting older and I could be wrong in my recall from other threads..

No offence taken Mr.M...I've been wondering about those #'s for along time.
I just don't know anybody who has been able to get an NA car into the 13's. on the motor only, and I would think 290 "real" H.P. would do it.

Mike at Eurocharged told me to expect about 27 HP for the tune and about another 20 for the TB & CAI together. Now I'm just waiting on a tune sale....

I'd say that is pretty accurate, I have no dyno #'s, but 1,2,3 took me from 6.6 secs 0-60 to 5.3 sec , measured by a stopwatch and passenger looking at speedometer.
( traction off, 1st gear auto tran, 1700 RPM, drop brake, full throttle )
I am sure this will be debated, but that's my story and I stand behind it.

I think 290 hp would be easily good for 13s. I have no cai, no larger tb, no tune...only true duals, rear cat delete debaffled and deburred intake, k&n and was running mid to low 14s with a best of 14.2. Just installed lighter wheels and could feel a difference from them too, but havent gone to the track to back it up. I am going the budget route so may do a DIY CAI, buy larger TB, and Eurotune soon. Would like to try underdrive pullies too but they are a little pricey and unsure if price to power gained will be worth it. All info in the search bar that you could ever need. Good luck and keep everyone posted if you come up with anything else.
