 You know whatfs funny AZ? if you met me in person. I bet you wouldnft feel that way. I'm a very respectable and easy going type person, I really don't care about this site or anyone on it but when the name calling started I just had to respond back . Man don't get all worked up, in a few days all of this will go away (including me) and everything will be back to normal. It's just the way car boards work, you guys may want to think about a "war stories" section though. that way all the trash talking can be limited to there and not your whole board.

Oh, and as for you not caring who anyone is, maybe that's your problem... you failed to learn how to interact with the other children. It's really showing even more than when you were in 3rd grade.

I'll take the advice of some of the wiser folks here... so that's all the time I have for you.... later dude.
HAHAHAHAHA. don't get all sad...maybe you can plop down for a used TT?

Dan, come on now, re-read the posts... "they" called you a flake. I merely said you were "our" flake and you "belonged" here, unlike them that are here just to do whatever. You know, like the red headed step-child everyone in the family picks on but they still all love him deep down. Serious, I'm sorry if you didn't read it that way. ops:

Since it was your post that said it and not a QUOTE I think I read it right. And I don't think I'll say in print what others may call some folks here to me personally or non personally or repeat what others may say unless I mean it TOO.So either retract or stand by what you said !!

Dan, I've "already" said I am sorry if you read my post differently from what I meant it to be or if I used a poor choice of words that you didn't care for. Other than offering you an apology if what I said offended you, I stand by what I said and how I said it... no disrespect was intended.

There you are Dan, I offered to run you for $500 on another thread but not on the road(LACR). If you want to run the canyons, how about Palomar mountain? After all if you beat TT's all time it wouldnt matter where we race at. I really don't know why I should waste my time on a car that traps under a 100 in the 1/4, but I will.
Im sorry to say BlackTT your knowledge on 1/4mi racing is horrid. I was going to post in TTTToast but since i was here i'll do it here. You said the lower the 60's the lower the trap speed. What the heck kind of sense does that make?:lol:I guess thats why my mach 1 got a 1.97 60' and trapped at over 107. I should have bogged out so i would raise my 60' and trap higher 60's are just too see how well you get traction and how you come off the line. The TT's do so well in the 1/4 because of the AWD launch. Just like a wrx. I beat a modded wrx "dont try to tell me that audi TT's are faster than modded wrx's" with a stock buick regal GS at a 40mph roll but from a dig he would destroy me.The buick trapped higher than the wrx. Even that guy that was into the 13's with his TT was only trapping at 98mph. Still not impressive. The crossfires trap at a higher speed than the TT making the XF faster car.
You have us in the 1st 60' that is it. Take that away and you would see the XF taillights every time Stock vs stock. a 10mph roll race would show this. SO please stop talking like you are the most educated car person here because you are making a fool out of yourself.

ATTENTION!!!

To All Crossfire Owners, Present and Future

Come on people, the only way we are going to rid ourselves of the fools that are doing everything they can to get our forum to become just another pitiful internet mud slinging arena, is to stop responding to their taunts.

If you take the bait, they just sling more, and with greater velocity.

Lets all try it for a week, and see what happens! But it has to be 100% participation on our part.

How about it?

Ok I never said I was an expert, and if I remember correctly I'm sure I said "I think" not I know. But this is the way I understand it, when you lower your 60ft times you will see a lower ET but at the same time your trap speed will also go down because you made it through the 1/4 by a quicker time not through extra speed. Have you ever seen a STI at the track? Here is what they look like.

60ft: 1.86
1/8 mile: 8.67
1/8 mph: 82 mph
1/4 mile: 13.51 @ 99.8 mph

My car runs a very low 14 but traps over a 100mph(remember I'm FWD) Maybe you or someone else can explain why I'm wrong instead of name calling.

And who cares about stock for stock, anyone who races a 1.8t should know about a chip or at least a MBC. If they don't then they shouldnt be racing.

I tried to explain my previous post. I didn't name call. I didnt call you stupid i just said in one particular catergory our knowledge is lacking. 99.8 mph is a pretty weak trap speed for an STi. Considerng I have seen them trap at over 104 stock. Also the ET was much lower. Must have been ahot day or the driver as lacking. That trap speed is also why that guy never beat my mach 1 on a roll. But from a dig he had me. I pretty much could guess what your car trapped at dont forget i use to own a 02 Gti pushing almost the same boost as you. I trapped at 103 in that car. Had a few other tidbits done to it. Not much though a pic is in profile along with my other cars i have had. Again the 60' show how well you get off the line. If the car runs a great ET with alow trap means one of two things car had great traction off the line(drag Radials/slicks or awd) or he let off somewhere  My mach 1 trapped at 107 i have seen srt-4 trap at this speed buthe was in the 12's while i was in the low 13's he had slicks. Traction makes your car quicker but not faster. Hope that cleared it up abit.

Well, i happen to like TTs AND Crossfires.... and considering the press lumps both as sportscar wannabes, you'd think we'd have an appreciation for both vehicles.

Oh well, TTs are cool and have aspects that I prefer over the Crossfire....and vice versa. TTs have better interior materials...Xfires are rear wheel drive ...etc.

This pissing contest only gets everybody wet. Love thy automotive neighbor I say.

To clarify, the Z is the sports car, and the G35 Coupe is the sports coupe. There is a tremendous difference in the Z and G coupe relating to amenities and handling.

The G coupe 2 +2. With the 2005 sport model coming with 19" rims and 295HP.

The Z. The coupe. The sportscar.

I am not quite sure what you mean by you driving an automobile, ("sports car with class") as by definition, we all drive automobiles. I haven't made one disparaging remark about the Crossfire, and I think its a bit rude to say that the Z and G have no class.

In 2005, the Z celebrates its 35th anniversary, and within that time frame its won countless accolades, be it the racing world, or the automotive press; to label it as having no class is a bit silly to say.
