Get an intake and tune before the exhaust and you'll hear the engine more in front of you than in back of you with the exhaust

+1 .. Miata is a tail end barker..

Playing with some 3" intake tubing along with having done the 74mm upgraded throttle body.. Have to say hearing the engine roar says power more than the tail barking.. LOL.

Or maybe I'm getting older and have varied my taste in music..

I went ahead and got the General G-Max myself.. higher mileage rating.. but these should last you a good year or more if you don't decide you like the blue smoke.. LOL.

UTOG matches the Falkens a lot of people run.. which is what I went through in a little over a year..

MM, a year don't tell me much, some people can do 40,000 easy in a year, some ( like me ) just do 3,500.

What miles did you get on them ?

You just found you a 10 year tire!

Figured the UTOG rating would work for most.. LOL.

Bumpy feeling at 'higher' speeds.

If the 'higher' speeds is > 65, let me be the first to warn you that most cops lump our cars in with the Corvettes and pay particular attention to us !!!

Mine's red, so I get even more attention.

These little suckers can be deceptive, they are so quiet that you can easily be doing 85 before you check the speedo. Use the excellent cruise control and save the speed for the track.

There, now you have officially been warned, I hope I don't get to say "I told you so "
( at age 18, they won't cut you much slack )

Get yourself a good radar detector. I know mine has saved me a buttload in tickets and paid for itself 10 times over.

Congrats on the color choice! One thing I have to say is that it still amazes me how well these cars have held up over time. I still get astonished looks from people when I tell them the car is around 8 yrs. old. They all think it just rolled off the showroom floor!

Mirror mount link in my signature if your not into the suction cup mount.. might have to buy an extension type stud adapter to get it below your day night switch.. Just an option you might want to look at.

I was thinking about trying to find a way to mount the little receiver crystal looking thing on the dash and mounting the whole unit under the dash out of sight

And BTW "the little receiver crystal looking thing" is the technical term.
