CPS & spark plug advice please
CPS & spark plug advice please
1) Is the Bosch P/N 0 261 210 170 from GermanAutoSupply on ebay correct? It is listed as OK for 2004 SLK320 but not for 2004 Crossfire. I want to keep a spare in the car for long roadtrips.
2) What spark plugs do you all recommend for the longest life? I have always kind of stuck with Autolite for American cars / Bosch for German / NGK for Japanese. Is there a specific Bosch plug you guys like? I am more concerned with life than trying to save a few bucks.
Thanks!

Re: CPS & spark plug advice please
Not sure about the part number for the CPS. I have one in the garage but I'm not at home right now. I didn't order the MB part, I think I got mine from AutohausAZ and just ensured it was the Bosch brand. If I remember right, it was around $45 shipped to my door.
As far as plugs go, I just changed mine this past weekend. Car is an SRT and has 90K on the original plugs. Several people on here have said they used the NGK Iridium plugs. I went with the Bosch iridium plugs. I did this for cost savings and I also have had good luck with Bosch products. The plugs were $7 each from AutoZone and they offer a $2 rebate per plug - so the set of 12 is only $60. Since these are supposed to last somewhere in the area of 75K to 100K (the iridiums), I won't be able to report on the durability for about 8 years.
Good luck!

Re: CPS & spark plug advice please
Well, to ensure you have the correct part I would remove your current CPS and write down the exact p/n....I made this same mistake relying on ebay information and got the wrong MAF sensor p/n even though it was for my car. As go for the spark plugs, I went with NGK iridium as in my opinion are the best. Lol nothing against Bosch but I feel they contradict their own **** when it comes to spark plugs (I.e multi-spark plugs that have 2/4 heads to create a larger spark) doesn't really work!!!!

Re: CPS & spark plug advice please
I took the part out of the Napa "Eichlin" brand box yesterday at a local store. It was not Bosch, but some out there may be Bosch, Napa reboxes whatever they buy. I will buy Bosch.
I did buy the tools to stash in the car from then. $12 got me a decent 1/4" drive ratchet, 12" worth of extension and the Torx socket.
