price check
Found a gray 2004 coupe auto with 33000 miles, stored winter for 7500.00. Only negative things are rear tires are loud as hell when slowing /braking, sounds like a four wheel drive with mud tires. The tires are not very loud at highway speeds. The other negative is the tilt wheel lever seems disconnected and doesn't release the steering wheel so it can move. The owner bought is from a dealership with 16000 miles on it in 2009. What do you think of the price?

price is right...thinking about your tire noise.. it could be the camber is out if this car has been lowered....how do the rear tires look when you see it from behind. Are the wheels straight up and down or do they seem to look tilted a little...

Uhh...You do know the steering wheel will NEVER tilt. (It just moves forward and back).
I had a set of Goodyears on one of my old Crossfires. They sounded like my old Jeep Rubicon. As soon as I replaced the tires, the noise went away. As +fireamx stated, there is no tilt steering on a Crossfire. The price sounds great for that amount of miles.
I just replaced the tires on my Stang had only 10,000 miles on them ! Same thing they started to get loud as hell !!! Went with sumitomo s great price at tire rack !!! Mine where 245/35 - 19 only $550 for all four mounted & balanced !!!
Went this Saturday and bought the xfire. It had 32997 miles on it when I picked it up. The car is in fantastic condition inside and out (always stored for the winter) and well maintained. Car Came with two key fobs and original window sticker. I did have to fix the telescoping column, the pin that attached to the release pull was missing. I will post a link to photos sometime soon.
I want it. Where? Tire noise is most often caused by feathering- tire blocks feel like saw teeth- incorrect toe. Usually a front problme so I suspect tires recently rotated?
arejohn, you are correct, front tires are feathered. I plan on getting a new set of tires as soon as I can decide on what kind to buy. Alignment will be done after I inspect front end components.
