105 in a 60
Am I screwed?
Time to lawyer up?
Can it be beaten?
Commit suicide?
It looks like I can pay $302 and take the insurance hit.
There's probably no reason to die. Even with this, life's not that bad.

Buddy of mine got clocked 104 in a 45. He was able to get it knocked down to a 75 in a 45 and keep it off his insurance. He had to take a class, driving course thingy(many years ago so can't remember exactly), and was on probation for a year. Why didn't you just make a run for it?
OHH... ^^^+1 .. just remembered they don't pursue on high speed dangerous situations here!

Over 100, it wouldn't hurt to talk to a lawyer. It cost me 1600 and 25 hours of my time, but I don't have it on my driving record.

My buddy did not get a lawyer. He was able to negotiate with the prosecuter at the court house on the court date. Not sure if there is anything you can do before the court date. It was an intense discussion to say the least but they were able to come up with an agreement. He in so many words was at the mercy of the court and was prepared to do anything to keep it off of his insurance. He had a clean record which helped.
$700 for a lawyer
$400 court cost
$75 8 hour driving class
$400 expungement fee
25 hours of community service
6 month probation which meant don't get pulled over for 6 months
It's all over and I don't have any points on my record and I kept my license. If you remember Mr Daddy lost his license for 6 months and he went without a lawyer, but had a spotless record (according to him).

What did you spend 25 hours doing ?
I worked at a little league ball park for a couple of months.
Dang! I don't know if I want to see a judge after reading all this.
There's no court date on the ticket and it looks like I can stick a check for $300 in the envelope and be done.
If the insurance co finds out though...

Most judges won't take you seriously unless you have a lawyer, and the lawyer already knows the system. I got a potential license threatening ticket when I was 17 or so, the lawyer saved me from big trouble. I learned my lesson though, and will OP will too.. no need for speeches about how what he was wrong.

How about this - you were a jacka$$ for driving almost twice the speed limit. Take the hit, you *****! If you were driving while under the influence, at twice the DUI limit, would you even post this crap? The law is the LAW!
